Are we gonna ignore Marchand's best impression of a sword fighter?

We need Gryz back in a big way. Did not like Holdens game last night.

So many grade A chances last night that went unfinished.

I couldn't agree more.

One thing I noticed more than any other game as well, was Rick Nash floating in the defensive zone. I get it, you're a power forward that can play a 200ft game, but maybe prefer and are geared more to a offensive role, but don't half ass play in your own zone and then the next moment turn on the jets for a semi-breakaway. It wasn't like those plays couldn't have resulted in the Leafs putting the puck in the net. I noticed this a few times and I was less than pleased with it.

I know Toronto (fans) are probably back to their confidence level prior to game 1, but wasn't overly impressed by their win nor am I overly worried about the bruins losing. Outside of a couple of defensive breakdowns on the road, it was somehow a winnable game until Marleau's (second?) two on one goal. Went into these road games saying they needed 1 out of 2, and that is still very possible. Until the leafs can prove they aren't playing scared in Boston, I won't hit the panic button.

0-0 game till the over the glass penalty which broke the game lose so if that doesn't get called the B's would have gotten out of the first 0-0 and it's a different game.

HOLDEN STINKS! Gryz has been great for them all year and I am nervous every time Holden is on the ice and that was evident last night.

I noticed as the clock wound down that Marchand was starting to retaliate and lose his cool when the Leafs got on him. He's equally capable of helping or hurting his team.

Are we going to have a child every time Marchand does a thing? He's a rat. Get help accepting what you can't control or you could just focus on your upcoming tee times. You know start cleaning up the sticks, maybe hit the range and get loose.

The line would be better with Spooner. Too many times last night I asked myself what the hell is Rick Nash doing. He is always locked up with someone in the middle completely out of the play and cant create separation.

It was a good game though. Thought they had many more quality chances. Leafs just finished.

Noticed a few comments about Rick Nash. Is he as bad as his playoff reputation suggests? A non factor when the play needs to be elevated & doesn't seem to find the net too often?

As an impartial observer, I would say this Boston loss was pretty inevitable. The Leafs played desperation/must win hockey in their own building and that effort just brought them to about even with the Bruins for a marginal victory. Not a 5-1 victory or 7-3 victory, they just squeaked through with a little help from the refs.

I suspect that the Bruins, who have IMO already shown themselves to be a vastly superior squad will rally for a decisive victory on Thurs and then wrap things up back in Boston. Being unfortunately out of the playoffs, it's easy to say that Boston has an awesome group this year that may very well go all the way to the finals.

(note: actually I'm not really that impartial... I hate the Leafs and all their stupid rude fans]

Some pretty lame statements by bruin fans.... ""We lost but we had our chances", they were lucky, blah blah blah blah...
I think the leafs have had a lot of bad luck thus far... missed breakaways, posts, cross bars, horrible one sided officiating against them, cheap bruin goals, etc.... Leafs have a much younger, much more skilled lineup, however they don't have the experience... Give them time... Right now its boys against men. But to actually read some of these pathetic boston fan posts is brutal...

I watched it, Refs gave you a penalty in error. How many PP did they get ripped off over the first 3 games. The league removed their top defensive centerman for 3 games in a play off series. think about it , that's absurd, meanwhile they didn't even penalize the bruin who elbowed the kid in the head...

All right enough b*tching about calls, I dont think he B's can miss that many open nets again if they tried Krejci needs to step up, he had (2) open nets to shoot at and flubbed both, but like Matthews says poope happens, They will win Thursday Night no worries.

He actually killed a highlight reel play for debrusk, made 5 leafs players look foolish on that end to end possession.

Loved when the crowd went nuts thinking he got crunched into the boards, but actually used it to his advantage by ducking and then juked Zaitsev out of his skates.
