So Carter still needs time to heal, Muzzin had a separated shoulder, and Forbort had a sprained MCL.

Carter was more than enough healed to put up nearly a point per game after he came back. His injury is no excuse for his play in the playoffs. Muzzin's injury, as well, wasn't an excuse for his decision making and poor coverage. I'm not suggesting that you're making those excuses, but I've seen some other fans make them.

No, I wasn’t making excuses. Carter never looked right even with his goal production. Muzzin was Muzzin and Forbort wasn’t missed at all. I’m just always curious to see the injuries they sustain after the playoffs are over. I believe the Kings may have had their best team going into the playoffs in 2013 but had to play St. Louis and then San Jose and came out of those so beat up they couldn’t compete with Chicago.
