In terms of the travel and Myers stuff - Spilt milk, man. What can you do.? That’s hockey.

I wouldn’t be too concerned, Canada?/Atlanta’s Team will come out smokin next game. More than likely the only ‘W’ Minjy gets.

I think the ThrasinJets thrash around and physically dominate next couple...definitely a better team.

Exactly Benny.

They would normally have gone through the private terminal for charter flights, or possibly pre-screened and right on the bus. However in this particular case no one left the plane so it was basically wheels down in Duluth, play some more Snarples while waiting, get the call to go back to the Peg and then wheels up and back in Winnipeg in an hour. Total might have been 4 to 4 1/2 hours . Not exactly energy draining but at the same time the episode can throw of the "rhythm " of the team.

I have followed the Jets through US customs in the main terminal for their charter flights before. I have no idea how they travelled on Saturday but they have went the same route as us regular joes before. Whether they went by the private terminal by 17 wing or through the main terminal, it doesn't really matter but it is a wasted day.

Usual exaggeration by the kid. For the record, Chariot and Myers were on as a pair for 2 goals . Myers also has 2 goals and an assist so far in the series. If he is injured then its a big loss for the Jets. The tire fire so far in the series has been Trouba , and no doubt Chariot definitely had a bad game three.

Yes. Where has Scheif been. Wheeler was nowhere after that first goal. We need Hendricks back in this lineup ASAP if not just to motivate like he does shift after shift and to settle down the PK.

The Morrissey/Trouba pairing has been carrying the team, as has Byfuglien. Morrow is okay.
Chairot, however, has been the worst active NHL player in these playoffs by a mile. Myers has actually gotten to the point where his overexposure is making him a massive negative overall, as his offence is now nowhere near good enough to make up for his comical defence.

We desperately need Toby, and the Poolman can’t possibly be worse than Chiapet and the giraffe.

As a side note, Matt Hendricks has likely already played his last NHL game. Putting him in now will only escalate our problems. Allow even more chances on the PK? Check.
Win fewer faceoffs? Check.
Slow down any line he’s on (which is exactly what Minnesota wants)? Check.
Get baited into playing hit first hockey and taking stupid penalties? Absolutely check.
That Copp-Lowry-Tanev “4th” line is pure gold. Hendricks will never get close to beating out anyone on the top 3 lines, aside from “””””maybe””””” Armia, and even then Roslovic is waiting to go. You’ve got Dano, whom is built for playoff hockey, and Matthias, who does everything Hendricks does, only faster. Hendo is done here, or Maurice is.

So, you acknowledged exactly one of the points I made, and didn’t even have a real comment to make on it? Sweet.

Dano is faster than Hendricks, smarter than Matthias, hits harder than Tanev, and produces at a higher rate than Armia. Makes sense to put him in if another injury pops up (Roslovic goes in first).

Niku recalled, Poolman in the lineup tonite. If he plays, it will be quite the opening playoff game for Poolman. N Dakota kid that played college hockey all over the Northern US states. I bet he will have some serious family members in the crowd tonite.

They should be scratching Chiarot for Niku. Sitting the 21 year old AHL defenceman of the year while his AHL team is in the playoffs too is hilariously stupid.

What did I acknowledge (besides your existence) ?
I laughed my ass off at your Dano suggestion.

The only thing "hilariously stupid" is his knowledge of the sport of hockey.

and in case you missed my late post from a few threads ago here it is again. Sums up Rexy perfectly.....

The whole thing about the kid who lectures us as if he's some know it all expert but has never coached or played a game of hockey reminds me of the classic scene from Good Will Hunting but just in a different context......

" Sean: You're just a kid, you don't have the faintest idea what you're talkin' about.

Will: Why thank you.

Sean: It's all right. You've never been out of Boston.

Will: Nope.

Sean: So if I asked you about art, you'd probably give me the skinny on every art book ever written. Michelangelo, you know a lot about him. Life's work, political aspirations, him and the pope, sexual orientations, the whole works, right? But I'll bet you can't tell me what it smells like in the Sistine Chapel. You've never actually stood there and looked up at that beautiful ceiling; seen that. If I ask you about women, you'd probably give me a syllabus about your personal favorites. You may have even been laid a few times. But you can't tell me what it feels like to wake up next to a woman and feel truly happy. You're a tough kid. And I'd ask you about war, you'd probably throw Shakespeare at me, right, "once more unto the breach dear friends." But you've never been near one. You've never held your best friend's head in your lap, watch him gasp his last breath looking to you for help. I'd ask you about love, you'd probably quote me a sonnet. But you've never looked at a woman and been totally vulnerable. Known someone that could level you with her eyes, feeling like God put an angel on earth just for you. Who could rescue you from the depths of hell. And you wouldn't know what it's like to be her angel, to have that love for her, be there forever, through anything, through cancer. And you wouldn't know about sleeping sitting up in the hospital room for two months, holding her hand, because the doctors could see in your eyes, that the terms "visiting hours" don't apply to you. You don't know about real loss, 'cause it only occurs when you've loved something more than you love yourself. And I doubt you've ever dared to love anybody that much. And look at you..."

What do you think Maurice a 1400 + game coach would think when told he should be playing Dano and Petan and Postma , and trade Myers, or that Hendricks should in the poress box , that the lines and matchups are wrong etc etc, etc. because some stupid Corsi statistics don't agree with his thinking.

I'm not sure Niku is ready....defensively for this series but anyone defending Chairot right now is clearly not watching!!!! I am not getting involved in this whole hate on for Rexy in here but I could play better defense in our zone than Myers/Chairot have thus far.

Myers has scored two nice goals, absolutely!! but his defensive and decision making play is horrendous

Parise out, fractured sternum.

Hopefully Chairot and Poolman can settle in and play a simple game. Poolman has 26 NHL games now but lots of UND playoff games to draw on.

Go Jets!

I will defend Chiarot's physical play. this is a 7 game series and every hit/whack/grind will tilt the balance a little in the Jets favour as series goes deeper. Lowry hasn't been as physical since game one, Buff has been physical but there have been few consistent other significant contributors to physical play on Jets outside of Chiarot.

I think a few guys are playing hurt - Lowry, Trouba, Schiefle and maybe even Morrisey. Just based on how quickly they are bouncing back after physical plays and reduced production.
