Tremendously satisfying end to the season - after that lost weekend with the losses to Arizona & Edmonton I had serious doubts about this team. What a finish .... Just figure if the ducks draft a D man he is going to be in the NHL. More waiting in the wings. And what can you say about Rico .... unreal a simply Great trade And just what the Ducks needed at that time. On to the real season.....

DUCKS 4-2 I WISH WE WOULD GET LA NEXT !

Most of This season has been such a bummer. I glad to see that this last month the ducks have pulled it together. And for the most part what changed was just the team cohesiveness. They all looked like they were pulling together. It wasn't always perfect. But they found ways to get it done.
And it's going to take a whole lot more of the team game to beat San Jose. It's been a while but the sharks are a different team then last year. They just don't have that spark they had 2 years ago. But Still they are dangerous. And I would expect them to just to roll over. For them evander kane is the x factor. He's shows up then it could go 7. If He doesn't then the sharks are definitely a underdog.
Honestly we are not much better. We can't rely on Getzlaf to carry the team. I'm sure the first thing the sharks will do is try to contain him. Good luck. Still they know our captain very well. I hope randy doesn't put all his eggs in that basket.
Instead. I'd be better to put a fair amount of reliance on Gibby and Miller. Playing defense in front of then needs to be a staple of this team. Our dmen have shown better stick work in front of the net cleaning up lose pucks and moving it down the ice. There gonna need to keep that up. And on the opposite side we gotta work down low. Like most of you noticed our forwards aren't that dangerous on the breakaway. It when they get in front and behind of the net when they're dangerous. And our wingers have found new life since we made that our focus. Guys like Ritchie, Perry, Rakell, Getzlaf, Kesler are all very suited to that game.
So in this series I'm going to take the ducks in 6. Kane will be a factor but the sharks lives and dies with Joe Pavelski. And I think we have what what it takes to shut him down.

I'll be stunned if Gibson doesn't start, especially since the series doesn't begin until Thursday. Cam, I don't know. Shoulders are tricky. He didn't separate it but there might be some rotator cuff problems that don't require surgery but take forever to heal.

Doesn't look good for Anaheim. All of the hockey experts on Sirius XM are picking the Sharks. Makes sense I guess, the Sharks were on fire at the end of the season and the Ducks were crap over their last 5 games.

Easy now. The Sharks did win the one game they needed to nip the Kings for third place. They're just resting up Jumbo for his rematch against Getzlaf.
