well lets see.....when richardson and buchberger were asst coaches with the oilers, their teams were really bad. no really really bad. so what makes anyone think they would be a good hire..... gomez never coached before. clueless just like (dead)weight.

you haven't seen enough isls games. trust me when i say clueless, that is being nice to what really is going on. i've seen pee wee coaches that are better..... yes need a goalie and a Dman but need a coach that has some kind of system

I hate to sound positive here, but i just don’t see any scenario whereby this new ownership keeps Snow and co. This last year was absolute bottom. There simply isn’t any excuse left. To me, this past year made Snow the worst GM in isles history.

Let's hope you are right Rick. I know Milbury left Garth with nothing it terms of the prospect pool, but Garth had it better than Milbury especially since Ledecky and Malkin came aboard. I'd rather not talk about Milbury or Snow. Just want to get these 3 games over with.

I’ve said this before but 12 years of drafting and Bridgeport is a bubble team. Let’s also not forget the money Snow had to throw around under Wang. He swung and missed with MANY UFAs, so he had money to spend under Wang as well. He just phucking sucks. It’s that simple. Enough is enough. I can’t even watch this team.

The gm rolled out the worst goalie tandem in the nhl, an inexperienced d core and hired a glut of inexperienced clowns or inept retreads to coach.
Losing Tavares for nothing should finally be the end of Snow.

But barzal, beauvillier and eberle for strome and reinhart might have saved his ass for yet another season.......

I think his time is up here, regardless of anything. A usually-visible owner has been radio-silent lately and that probably doesn't bode well for Garth.

The real question is whether or not they can afford to flat-out fire him and pay the remainder of the bullshit contract that fart-huffing, book-cooking fraudster (frank)face Charles Wang gave him.

I don't want him to be "promoted" to some other position where his greasy, shitty fingers can still touch anything related to this team.

Not even close and Chia has a resume with Cup on it. He’s an offensive GM who isn’t afraid to make moves. I’d take him in a heartbeat over a guy who’s done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in his entire career as both player AND GM.
The isles got lucky with Barzal. If not for Boston the isles would be with another bust drafted for Reinhardt. I don’t credit Snow with Barzal. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

We’ve had this convo before but i cannot imagine this ownership spent half a billy goat on this team, just got approval to build a new arena and are worried about a few years of Snows contract. How much could he be making?? A million a year? I don’t believe they are afraid to eat that conny. My honest opinion is the ownership was trying to keep things status quo until they got their new arena where they would see ALL profits. Unfortunately i don’t think they thought this team would suck this bad this far along. Hell i certainly didn’t taking the over 2000x on this season at 89 pts
