Mueller had a rough game against Pittsburgh but he's been good tonight. I think people have been too hard on him. Although the price was high to acquire him he hasn't a lot of opportunity to play this year through injury and depth.

but at the end of the day, with Schneider we had a great goalie on his best day, which was more often than not. With Kinkaid, a good goalie.. on a good day. To me, this is our biggest weakness going into the playoffs (knock on wood). I'm not confident we have a goalie that can steal games. Marty stole SO many games, with or without the hall of fame defense.

I think tomorrow would be a good time to throw Schneider in with the team having more of a cushion and the Canadians being a pretty weak team.

Don't disagree that Kinkaid's average, but we seem to be at least winning games with Kinkaid in net. Kinkaid hasn't been great, but he has been consistent. IMO the defense is the biggest weakness going into playoffs. Of all teams that are in playoff positions atm, our Devils have given up the most goals (save the Pens). I attribute that to be a byproduct of defensive miscues/misplays, more than any underwhelming goal-tending. Either way, very excited for PLAYOFF HOCKEY baby!!

Dont be so pessimistic. Kk has been a beast for us. Give the kid some credit. We are, where we are now because he stepped up.

I love him. Met him numerous times and he is a true gentleman and a hockey scholar. I will be sad when he’s not around. Can’t say that about anyone else who has ever covered (or announced for) this team since our inception in 1982.

Magic number is 6. 6 points gained by us / lost by Florida and we're in. If we win three of our last four we're in even if Florida ends 5-0, and I'm not really a big believer in the Panthers ending 5-0.

When he wins the Norris next year we will all look back and remember this was the day the Devil D began its improbable march toward resurgence! Ok maybe not but still it was a nice to see.
