It would be nice if these college players looked at a situation like Buffalo and said, I think I can change the culture there, So let's get started turning this thing around.

actually I think it looks great, as it would be easy to outplay 2/3 of this roster

it would also be nice if our 7.5 million dollar center had that mindset

there seems to be too much trouble inside that locker room..it seems to me that ror and jack are oil an water and Housley is not the type of guy, especially as a rookie coach, who has the wherewithal for this team to overcome that

lewis is an under-rated run blocking TE
breeland is very under-rated CB

the other guys, red zone targets, wr depth which we need

if benjamen gets hurt, right now we are screwed

couldn't you just draft players like that in lower rounds?

they need to fill a few more holes if trading up for a qb

I heard it's 50 percent they stay pat

20 percent they move up a few spots

30 percent they push their chips and go all in to get a top 4 pick

Which is why you don't push all in this year

I think Maclin would be a decent 1 year signing

Shady has been quiet on social media this year about it, makes me think after what happened last year he is having this conversation privately.

They need to add another CB either in the draft of FA, not to mention there are always surprise cuts during camp.

They should add a WR now before the draft though and can draft a CB in the 3rd round.

I still think 1 of the big 4 names drop to the Bills at 12. Take who is there, do not take Jackson.

Take a LB at 22, OL in the 2nd, WR in the 2nd, QB in the 3rd and CB in the 3rd

Come out of the draft with a starting MLB, a WR, starting guard or RT, and a nickel corner and 2 QBs to develop. Sorry Peterman but you gotta go. If they think Peterman can be a back up then in the 3rd instead of taking another QB take a DT to be Kyle Williams replacement.

I get the point you are making and don't necessarily disagree. However, the Devils looked terrible last year and Will Butcher chose them, possibly due to seeing the opportunity as a direct path to the NHL. Let's face it, these kids dream of the NHL more so than a contract and the AHL. The best thing Botterill can do is explain his role in examples with the Penguins and how those players turned out. Then sell this kid on the idea that if he is worth his salt, then there is a clear opportunity playing for a coach like Housley on the Sabres' blue line. Just go and earn it.

I think we have to get used to having no picks this year if they were that close to Acquiring Indianapolis pick they obviously have someone in mind and I don’t think they’re gonna stop until they have the first or second pick

He should explain how he is going to get rid of these current players ASAP, then show them how many holes this team has.
