Connor for Calder, he is awesome. 2nd OT in a row, what can you say but he knows how to finish. He had one off the crossbar as well and I beleive he had one off the crossbar last game as well.
I can't remember waching a game that was so dominated by one side like last nites Jets. There was no relenting, their skating speed and hunt for the puck was simply on another level that the Ducks could not come close to match.
Helle had no work at all. I would like to see the time stat of the Jets with the puck in the Ducks end because it had to be extremely lopsided. It was reported at one point that Helle had been spotted in the Tim Horton lineup getting a coffee because the puck had not been in the Jets end for 10 minutes so he had time to slip away and get a coffee.
Ducks had no business even getting a point but once again you see how a goailie like Gibson keeps a team close and steals a point. Gibson was awesome, give the guy credit, he was the only Duck that showed up last nite, his team mates owe him big time for even keeping it close.
Jets are awesome though. Their dominance and skating, speed snd skill is going to be hard to handle come playoffs. |

As much as I love the season KC is having, Matt Barzal is the Calder winner hands down. That kid is a force. To think Boston could've had all 3 of Barzal Connor and Boeser in the first round that year. As good as they've been, the Bruins would be downright unstoppable |

Honestly it was Laine's best game as well...
They were keying on him big time so he didn't get the quality shots...but his skating and backchecking were world class!
Love this team... |

Byfuglien - you lazy #&^*@&*!$%$ !!!!!!!!
Hustle back instead of floating and the LA goal might have been prevented !
Once again....a lack of hustle on the 2nd Duck goal by 33

Pretty sure Bucky would say he should have had that 2nd goal. |

Buff gives zero (frank)s until the playoffs start.
He will be fine, book it. |

Peter I enjoy your writing and insight.... The statement of "Ducks petty attempts to draw Jets into penalties is absurd" ... Jets ran Gibson all night, and the refs simply swallowed their whistles. I don't mind that refs let them play but don't look for something that isn't there.
Jets were simply too much for Ducks without Getz and Manson.
And it's why any team playing Ducks should be wary if Ducks get in... Because right now no goalie is playing as well as JG .... He is on another level for the past month. |

Yes Barzal will and should win. We do however know that no one has heard of KC and he won't receive any serious consideration partly because he plays west of Mississauga and his name is not McJesus. |

I agree it was a weak one....but 33 stopped skating and waived his stick at Ritchie. |

People have heard of him. He’s just not being talked about as a Calder candidate because he isn’t one. There are many guys ahead of him. Barzal, Mcavoy, Boeser, Keller, Sergachev, Butcher, etc, etc. |

Ya no reason to talk about the rookie that scores more goals than any other rookie, waste of time |

I don’t think many Jets fans would see it that way nor would I suspect many hockey fans from other teams either. Now whether that is right or not is a different issue. The problem is the Ducks have earned this rep and have to own it. They do usually but when other teams step up to them it’s just dropping to their level. |

Calm down, son. We both know he won’t even be nominated for the Calder. And when that becomes official, you guys can all cry and call it an anti-Winnipeg conspiracy
But the fact is that he’s not one of the top three rookies in the league

Connor has had a good year but I've got to give it to the guy with three 5 point games
as a rookie.....and thats Barzal. Thats a 100 year record by the way. Tough to top that.
