Why don't you post your own thoughts to direct the discussion more positively? Those who comment on the Hawks are driving the discussion, those who comment about other posters derail the conversation.

Examples:

Positive contribution: Would you trade Debrincat for Ekblad straight up?

Negative Contribution: you are so annoying _____. All you post is _____. (Insert name calling).

- EnzoD

I would hesitate only because Ekblad has a concussion history for such a young player. You win a trade when you gain the good young dman over another good young non dman. Good dmen are hard to accumulate.

And i think DeBrincat can be a star in this league. Will finish with close to 30 on this team! Florida would not make the trade. I bet that Talllon frets over how effective, how much an impact Bjugstad will have going forward over the years. He has back issues.

He ended up having unexpected surgery earlier this month, so they performed the scan early. HE'S ALL CLEAR!!

WOW! Thanks. That's great news. i know everyone here has their opinions about Eddie-O. He just strikes me as being a really decent person. Hate to see bad things happen to good folks.

Martinsen with a crushing blow. I just watched that replay about 5 times. Sick move by Horvat. Nicks are the current worst team in the West, let's remember. 3-1. Hawks suck, bad.

I agree with all of this .Carolina is on the right track . Darling has been a real disappointment ,Imagine if Stan had moved Crow and signed Darling to a big deal like some said to do me included .. WOW would he be tar and feathered oh wait he already is ..

Looks like Skinner with the game einning score.
TT now up to 23 goals. Hot finish would love to see the finnish star finish with 30.

The Finnish finish.

Stan has those boys locked up for next year, so you better believe you're gunna see more of the same next year.

What would it take to trade for Grubauer on Washington? The Nashville 1st this year? Samsonov would be the one I’d want, but not sure they’d give him up. With uncertainty in net next year, (and the fact I don’t want to see Berube or Forsberg again), they’re going to have to pay for a starting caliber goalie.

If Crawford is indeed done, how will that impact the Hawks plans going forward? Would they really try to bring Ranta or Darling back? Thought Ranta left not on the best of terms? Necessity makes for strange bedfellows sometimes though.

I would bet Stan gradually trades off most of them. We have lots of dmen prospects. Some will make it and are looking like they have a higher ceiling than most of the current cast.

Any chance Martinsen sticks with the team next year and replaces the energy we got out of Bouma? I haven't seen enough of him to tell if he has any skill.

Rutta, Gustafson, Murphy and Oesterle are all what they are. If their flaws haven't been corrected by now, its highly unlikely they will be. They are all subpar. Let's realize again that the Hawks have now been blown out multiple times by AZ and PHX and just loss to BUF. In 2018, there is no worse team than the Hawks IMO.

Samuelson's system working is analagous TO
Q having the right players to coach them well

You need to have the right players, or enough of them to execute.

the mighty canucks came in here losers of 7 of 8; with 4 goals in their last 5 games and 3 strt shutouts; 6 players on IR..

and they put 4 on the creampuff blackhawks in 30 minutes...

if (when) they get a 5th goal it will be the 6 out 7 games thye have given up 5 or more...

i mean losing is one thing...but they are losing in style

We have seen and heard the truth and it hurts.
For an encore performance Martinsen joins the sorrowful cast and for a change an opposing player is sorrowful and sore. Oh we the fans fit this description so well.

Crawford and Hossa - give the Hawks both of them - and this is a much more competitive team, and maybe still fighting to get into the tournament.

With Crawford - besides giving up fewer than the current tandem - I think the whole defense (front and back) tightens up somewhat.

With Hossa - we’ll, it’s Hossa....

Justin wasn't too high on him. The Avalanche let him go. But he is playing for a job so he is trying to show that he can make a difference.

At least one of those D won’t be here next year. Murphy the most likely gone since the Hawks are going to need to pay for a GOOD 1A goalie next year. The others could be sent down or picked up on waivers. No big deal. Needless to say, they need to hit a home run in this draft if they’re going to contend with this core again.

Patrick Kane on the last eight games of the season: "We’re playing in the NHL, we’re playing for the Chicago Blackhawks, we’re playing in front of 21,000 fans every night. That’s enough motivation right there."

about to 7-13-2 @home since jan 1

ok then...cognitive dissonance
