Do think they went with Lyon due to Mrazek struggling or because it's the first of a back to back? Odds Lyon gets both starts? |

Goals from anyone not named GIroux would help today.
Sort of over watching Jake fly up the ice then turn it over .
Coots from a goal perspective is back to his old level of play.
Simmonds seems a shell of himself.
Would be nice to have 1or all of those players change that. |

They cannot afford to lose a single game to teams behind them in the standings if they want to make the playoffs.
If lose this one, I think they’re toast |

Back to back games definitely a factor but also because Lyon earned it by keeping the team in the game on Thursday. Also, Mrazek (except for the game against Winnipeg, where he was on top of his game) has simply not been very good in March so far. That includes the previous game against the Hurricanes on March 1.
If Lyon has a very strong game tonight and the Flyers win -- both have to happen -- I think they might come back with him against the Capitals tomorrow. Otherwise, they will probably go back to Mrazek. |

They can't afford to lose to anyone really. Florida is on fire lately.
But yeah, no excuse for not beating the Canes today. |

Florida also has games in hand.....they probably have to win some games against teams higher up as well. Really has to start today. |

Florida really doesn't matter. they have to stay ahead of one or both of Columbus and NJ.

I don't know any of the specifics, because that info is never shared under Hexy. Circumstantially, it appears his injury is groin/hip/abdominal. It seemingly gets better, then recurs, and so on. |

Woof.
So much time put into developing this kid and still no results. If he can stay healthy I really think he could be a huge difference maker on this team from a defensive standpoint. |

I want them to make it in, and hell i think they do.
If they miss however that is a pretty epic collapse. I don’t go with the “they are a bubble team anyway”.
Heads should roll in the coaching staff if they miss. Weren’t they up like 10 points on the last WC spot with 20 to play? |

The head that should roll is Lappy. If they were competent at PKing we'd be talking about holes in the Devils or Panthers or whoever's game we might match up with |
