Kane's agent has been in contact with Sabres GM Jason Botterill. Kane's value seemingly rises with each and every even strength goal he scores this season. The team that trades for kane will have to be willing to part with three or four premium pieces, including a top four defenseman, a premium draft pick, a top prospect and another draft choice.

It is hilarious how Garth is now passing this deal off as a "win". 2019 1st rounder or not. More classic Garth

Garf had Kane going to every team in the league at some point. The price Buffalo received wasn't even close to what Garf predicted.

I am a fan of Kane. Love how he plays. Off the ice is another story but...who knows what foreign jail I would have ended up if I was multi-millionaire young man.

He wasn't traded for his hockey. He was traded because of GM Kimmy Pegula didn't like his off ice affairs so the Sabres got burned in the trade. That's the problem with meddlesome owners like the Pegulas. These decisions and strategies should be left to hockey operations.

Kane had one prior "fake" hat trick. With the Jets on the road in Minney he scored 2 in regulation then a shoot out winner (which of course doesn't count). The several thousand Jets fans in the crowd threw their hats on the ice much to the dismay of the losing home Wild crowd.
