I woulda thought they’d play Versteeg as a RW initially. Seems kinda harsh to make the guy play his off wing after being out for so long.

You don't seem to realize that the point of statistics is to analyze trends over a period of time. Stats from a single game are meaningless. It's silly to compare what Tkachuk has done on the checking line over the last 70 games to what Bennett did on the line in one game, especially when Bennett's only game on the line was against the best player in the league.

If you want to talk about meaningless stats from one game, how about the fact that McDavid had 5 points in 3 games when Tkachuk was on the checking line, and 0 points in 1 game when Bennett was on the line.

You got that right, I say they are must win in regulation. I prefer the old way of things being two points for a regulation or overtime win, 1 point for a tie. I hate this new point system.

The guy has stood on his head. Pekka, Hellebuck (or whatever) and Bob are playing behind some pretty unreal teams but flames defence has been bad for 3/4 of the year and he's still putting up a .920+ sv%
