Jake says the points, the standings, the schedule is in their heads.

Perfect recipe for a red hot team

A collapse is real. Don’t think it will happen but the bruins did this twice a few years ago.

Can’t worry about other teams or the schedule, just take care of business tonight.

I dont think this team is a Stanley Cup contender so IMO we are playing on house money right now. If we miss the playoffs, which is highly unlikely, then at least we will get a higher draft pick in a deep draft. And hopefully that will turn into another solid forward prospect.

They’ve had a few here or there, but not enough. No team does it every night, but the contenders do it most of the time.

I'm not sure I wouldn't mind another D prospect in the 1st either, assuming we get the Blues pick and get a forward too.

If it's a move that makes sense I'm not against it.

As close to a playoff game as it can be in March!
Gotta get this one.

Which team am I on if I say I will be pretty annoyed if they don't make the playoffs (which they will)? I am all about getting good draft picks, but only when it's clear they are bad. There are good enough players on this team to get them in. Missing at this point would be very disappointing.

I would mind if they missed the playoffs. They are in position to make it, no matter if a contender or not. The team has shown they can play with anyone in the east. I think making a strong push and going into the playoffs would be beneficial for the future.

I guess i understand the thinking of not making the playoffs and getting a higher pick because that was the acceptable strategy of the 76's for how many years but I think there is benefit to getting into the playoffs.

The window for the Flyers is about to open and I would like to see this team get into a playoff battle, see young guys get that experience and come back next year with a hunger to do more there. For me missing the playoffs would be a failure.

I definitely would love Patrick, TK, Lindblom, Provy, and Hagg to see strong playoff action. Maybe Sanheim if the chains come off of him also.

I want them to all have that battle. We all know playoff hockey is different then the regular season. Next year I expect to be a playoff team so I would prefer these guys get playoff action now and be more ready for next seasons run.

7 games against either Pittsburgh or Washington can't hurt anyone's development.

You guys are killing me here. Of course they're not a Stanley Cup contender, but who cares? This team is good enough to be a playoff team and I expect them to make it. Hell, I expect them to make the playoffs every year. This whole "house money" attitude is a far cry from the Flyers fanbase who wanted a Cup every single year. Now it just seems, "Meh, they're not a contender, so if they miss the playoffs, oh well. Higher draft pick, I guess."

No, that's dumb. That might have been suitable three, four years ago, but not anymore.

Nope.

And say they play well in win.

I see more benefits from making the playoffs then missing out and getting a prospect who may or may not be with the Flyers in 3 years.
