I have to give Jarmo credit on his deadline deals. They all have contributed to the team already, and they also appear to give Torts flexibility in adjusting, and strengthening the 3rd & 4th lines (Vanek & Letestu); and the defensive pairings (Cole).
It also helps that everyone has stepped up their intensity & energy level. Maybe that's due to Torts rolling 4 lines. Milano had the lowest TOI @ 12:46, Panarin the highest @ 19:20. Keeping players fresh is key for the 2nd & 3rd periods. The last few games the Jackets have scored in the 2nd period - which was their bane earlier in the year.

They still need to learn how to cement a 2 goal lead !! And how to cover the forward in front of the net !!

Otherwise a good game. Detroit was also on the 2nd night of a back-to-back, so that helped.

No let-up with Montreal on Monday !!
