EK has a main blog about JT and JT needs assurances and changes to happen and changes are coming.

Let's see if these changes happen.

When it comes to the Isles and their track record, I'll need to see the changes first before I believe it.

Just read the horse shat Ek wrote about JT and his interview with a source.

Best part of the BS story:

Ek: So Islanders fans don't have to worry as much as they are?

Source: They shouldn't think it is a done deal that he is leaving. They should worry until it gets done. They should let it be known how important he is to them.

So don't worry that he's leaving but don't think he's staying until he stays. Thanks EK. Do you go to the players houses to get these nuggets?

The Isles won't change until L&M wake up and clean house. What I'm saying is I don't trust the interview.

Isles fans don't have to worry. One of only two things will happen: he'll either stay or leave. Don't worry. My feeling is that he will stay. Or he'll leave.

If that were to be believed the way it was written then it's implying gm and staff are gone

Right someone close to the situation I would believe it wants to stay if the 3hl were to be removed but at this point it's late for that. Possible snow is canned as soon as season ends and that gives new guy time to get in and make changes and talk w jt

My opinion and it has been that for a long time. He will be canned if they don't make the PO's. If he isn't then I'm done with this team until he's gone.

I actually had to think about the DiPietro contract and Spurgeon for a second. TBh missing out on a dman like that...who we already drafted...is pretty piss poor.

Then i thought about how preposterous that 15 year deal was and voted for DP. I really do wish things could have turned out differently for Rick. I respect the fact he wanted to be here his whole career. I really do. I can't blame him for signing a deal like that. What player wouldn't?

I just blame DP maybe doing something that caused all those injuries. Neil Smith wanted to give him a 5 year deal and of course Wang knew better.

One thing that being an Oiler fan has taught me is to let that poop go. If you think you guys have it bad, look at the Oiler's draft years on what we could have had/missed on.

As for the Dipeitro dilemma, it's a shame honestly. Having a career derailed by injuries has got to be heartbreaking for the player. Could have been your #1 for years and years.

We're just fed up. That GoFundMe reached the original goal in about 1 1/2 hours. Fans can take poor seasons and rebuilding years, but there has to be results at some point. We haven't seen results in a very long time. The organization needs a full house cleaning.

DP was never that good. He never should have been drafted number one.

Ownership has to show they care and cannot leave a lousy GM in place for years who just let's season after season fall apart. Teams will get things wrong but they have to be engaged and make changes when needed.

Regardless of being drafted #1, I remember him being a solid, reliable #1 in his "short" prime years (like 3 seasons lol) until the injuries finally took a toll on him. However, I finally hit double digits in age at that time.
That for 4.5m isn't too shabby. What really killed you guys was the term. 15years?????? Damn.

Guy is still getting paid till 2029?

Dude DP sucked!!! I mean he was atrocious had one good year and then the allegations of steroids he destroyed his body. Was not worth the time of day for the Islanders. He set the Islanders back years. Dont even get me started with him wearing no socks
