«The first move of likely 3-4 was a good deal for Bergevin»

I don't expect much more from Bergevin, really. Maybe Benn is on the move and other depth move. I don't think Pacioretty or Galchenyuk are moving anywhere.

It would be a huge trade for Pacioretty, if that was in the works it would have had to been for months. I agree, but I could see a couple D out the door. maybe even Shaw if someone overpays.

Forgot about Shaw. The thing is that he is injury prone and his deal last for a while. MTl might have to take a contract back and/or retain money. May happen this summer.

With Plekanec gone they can try a lot of guys as centers.

Plek will be back this summer IMO. According to many Leafs fans, Habs got a potential top 4D, top 6 F and a 2nd round pick for Plek and a career ECHLer

No way! He might get 70 points AND have a few turnovers in the process! Can’t have that!

two AHLers and a second round pick?

The pick is definitely the star of the show. It's a pretty nice return too.

I'm not so sure you were speaking with Leafs fans there. Totally upselling the value of Valiev and Rychel and you bought it. Valiev and Rychel are bubble NHL'ers at best.

Galchenyuk has chemistry with Patches, both score 30+... GALCHENYUK IS NOT A CENTER
Drouin, no chemistry with Patches... TRADE PATCHES!
Drouin, no chemistry with Galchenyk... TRADE GALCHENYUK
Galchenyuk has chemistry with Scherbak... SEND SCHERBAK DOWN.

Probably all these issues are resolved with Kirby (frank)ing Rychel though.

Let the circus continue....

I know!! They have their faves and it boggles the mind. I’m not sure competing and being entertaining are top priority? Once they’ve made up their mind on a player.....the stubbornness and ego rule and there’s no chance for a player to redeem himself it would appear?

Carr competes and scores when he’s up....why doesn’t he get a shot? We’ll lose him for nothing and keep playing Froese and DLR etc etc.

It’s the Cirque de SO GAY in Habs land for how many years in a row now??

I don't see Galchenyuk doing much better than Drouin as a center, but they don't have much to lose this season.
