Welcome to Gary Bettman's NATIONAL GARBAGE LEAGUE!! Next season the league is going to have instant replay in between periods to see who pee's in the room during the I intermission. I want to know who is teaching the Ref's and Linesman how to do their jobs, 3 games this weekend when fights were starting only ONE LINESMAN CAME IN LEAVING A PLAYER FREE TO THROW A COUPLE OF PUNCHES ON THE PLAYER BEING HELD BY THE LINESMAN. This did not happen in the old days, but Bettman being the PU**Y that he is does not care. Did you know that Bettman has more secret service agents covering him that the President of the United States? How this little 5'2" fart gets away with this is unbelievable.

So you think it was Bettman on the other end of the phone call looking at the replay to decide if that was a goal or no goal?

Boston fans wanted it called back, Leaf fans thought it was a goal, understandable, It was reviewed and decided it was a goal. Had this same situation happened the other way I don't think Boston fans would be be so irate this morning. Will be a good playoff match between two good clubs.

Well, consider me one Leafs fan who was shocked to see them allow that goal. That last push by Hyman was the difference. I would have argued for a goal up until that point, but he clearly shoved the D-man into Rask.

I was waiting for the refs to call that interference, I was shocked when they called it a good goal. The reality is nobody knows what goalie interference is any more, we have had calls go against us as well, a number of them in fact.

Wonder where Nash fits into this lineup. You would have to think they will put him with Krejci and bump either one of spooner or DeBrusk.

that trade was anything but well done..... way over payment for a guy that is producing less points per game than spooner.

Holy overpayment Batman.

Good to get rid of Spooner during a peak year, he may never see these numbers again, and they took Belesky .. but a #1 pick too? For a rental...

They dumped Beleskey too, no one wants to mention that. High price but totally ok with it. Spooner is a passenger and a PP specialist, plain and simple

The leafs have had more than their share go against them as well so this argument doesn't hold water.
Unfortunately nobody knows what goalie interference is anymore, you challenge and basically hold your breath wondering what way they go.

For the record, I was pretty sure that goal was being called back.

Spooner was the one guy on the active roster that people were universally ok with moving

Nash is a UFA this year..
Boston retained 50% of belesky for 1 more year after this.
You basically paid a 1st round pick and a 2016 2nd (lingren) for Nash.
It was Spooner for Belesky dump and a 7th round pick.

according to cap geek boston is retaining almost 2 million each a season for the next three years. mayhap they have it wrong? that right there loses the trade for the Bruins imo.

You seem way too excited to poop on the Bruins. Why you so salty? They gave up 0 key future pieces, dumped most of a bad contract (50% retained is better than a buyout) and landed a good rental, who I think will do well playing with real centers instead of Kevin Hayes and Mika Zibanejad. Expensive? Yes, but it has no effect on the team long term. Iā€™m happy

So will they have to put "RICK NASH" and "RILEY NASH" on the jerseys?

I guess he's trying to make a point? Like me saying something like " good thing the hockey hall of fame is in Toronto or they would never ever see the Stanley Cup"

he's just trolling.. don't feed the trolls
