Gionta sounds like three steps backwards. Hopefully he doesn't cost a 3rd round pick like the other depth garbage.

Not sure how the winning goal was allowed. Tuukka was clearly prevented from being able to make the save due to contact caused by the Leaf player. The NHL really has to clean up this rule... way too inconsistent. It's unfortunate that a good hockey game between two good teams had to end on a garbage/controversial goal.
The crappiest news tonight though is that Bergy left the rink in a walking cast. Hoping it's just precautionary, but any serious injury would be devastating.

They also mentioned on NHL network after the game that a memo went out around the all star break telling refs to loosen up on overturning so many calls and not taking so many goals away. Apparently that is more important than actually getting the call right. Such a (frank)ing joke.
