Man looking at our last 21 games holy poop. Vegas Dallas Colorado jets Boston x2 pens x2 lightning canes x3 capital's jackets that's 14 tough games out of 21. I'm thinking 13-8 should guarantee us playoffs so we don't need perfection but it'll also put our measuring stick vs all the contenders

After some thinking I want 1st in Metro in 2nd wild card. Basically I don't want to face the Pens or Caps despite Washington's recent struggles.

I'll take my chances trying to go through the Atlantic or should they win the Metro, tackle one of the lesser Metro teams who have the first wild card spot.

** assuming the Flyers clinch a playoff spot.

It is tough but they are playing well.....they always seem to play well against good teams....and most of those teams are playoff teams, that you have to be geared up against...so it will get them ready for the playoffs.

If they make the playoffs, I'd much rather play Washinton/Pitsburgh than Tampa Bay/Boston.

In a 7 game series against a good team.....some of the weak links will be exposed. I still don’t think Hextall will do too much next week...but we’ll know shortly. I really think some of the kids on the phantoms may help....Lindblom, Sanheim and maybe a healthy Morin. I keep hearing from some posters that this team is not ready to contend but when 3 or 4 of your star players are having career or close too career years, I’d suggest they have as good of a shot as any one.....I still remember listening to NFL radio tell me last August how the Eagles would be a 7-9 team....lol. Like the Eagles, this team has played much better then anyone anticipated......time to adjust expectations.

I like it that we are not hearing any " Flyer" rumours which hopefully means Hextall is working to make a move to shore up the D and or 4th line.

As far as I am concerned making the playoffs is KFC gravy. I thought they were a bubble team so its alll good.

I'd take a division championship and a 1st round matchup vs the Devils over all of the above.
