As a Wings fan, what’s your take on the deal? There seems to be a mixed reaction on all the Wings sites.

Flyers got a very good deal. Holland has overspent on players which has resulted in him basically giving away Riley Sheahan and now Petr Mrazek.

Holland has badmouthed Mrazek for 2 years through his press puppet, Helene St. James all because he leveraged Kenny into giving him a raise on a 2 year deal right before arbitration. Kenny doesn't like players challenging him.

Jimmy Howard is Kenny's love child so it was only a matter of time before Mrazek was going to be dealt. Word spread that he was not going to be qualified this summer. So Kenny got something rather than losing him for nothing.

But it's just the latest example of how Holland has run his team into the ground. Mrazek is a good goalie and I think just leaving Detroit will make him flourish. He played behind a horrible defense with minimal goal support. I think he does great for Philly.

Mrazek is no doubt happy to get out of Detroit as he never got a fair shake from mgmt and was never entrusted with the No. 1 he deserved to be. This was in part due to the commitment Holland made to Howard and the uncertainty it created between the 2 goalies.

Now the question will be for Philly is who will be the No. 1 when Elliott is healthy.

If Mrazek is on and the team is playing well they will ride Mrzaek. I think Mrazek will be motivated and that is going to help the Flyers

Conditional 4th for Lehner*

*If Wings make playoffs this year and Lehner wins 5 games regular season games, the 2018 4th becomes a 3rd round pick. If Detroit advances to Conference Finals, and Lehner wins six playoff games, the 2018 3rd becomes a 2nd round pick.

Don't you mean a conditional 4th in 2017 for Lehner?

Lehner has some value. just not as much as Garth tried to propose. 3rd round pick sounds about right. He is big, Athletic and has shown he can be a starter when the Defense plays in front of him. problem is our D is awful and hangs him out to dry night and night. He is also the absolute worst stopping shots in OT or breakaways.

Garth is going to be despondent when Lehner nets a "treasure trove" of only a conditional 6th round pick in the 2022 draft and Kane is still on the roster on 2/27.
