Bradford (on DK's site) said something about Sid being frustrated with his linemates recently. So when Hornie comes back, does he go on the 1st line? ZAR, Sid and Hornie? That would be a goalie nightmare.
- madmike71

All the reporters say Sid doesn't like playing with Hornqvist despite their success together. Guess that makes sense with ZAR.

Gets real interesting and with 4 days off we probably do see Hornqvist next game. He was killing it with Geno and Hags but so is Rust.

Maybe time to either try Kessel or Jake with Sid.

Or could simply be with 4 days off let him play, save cap space. But Horny is probably close so yeah.

Im kinda in the boat of there's nothing broke here, so dont fix it. The team as a whole is playing great. I couldnt care less about the points each individual player is getting.

The 4lc is a concern, Rowney should not be counted on.

Trade Rumors are one thing, but when reporters start opininig on players’ personal feelings I pretty much ignore it.

Reaves is inching towards “underutilized” in that pts/60 vs TOI. The last week or so has been a good one for the guy, would like to see him keep it up.

Yup. On a day I announced finally giving up on him he made me insert foot in mouth about 6 hours later and I haven't been able to remove it since. Its awesome.

I generally agree with this, however pretty much every reporter in Pittsburgh confirms Sid isn't a fan of playing with Hornie.

Who knows how he feels about Simon and Sheary (recent guys). Since neither is racking up the points, I could imagine him hoping for a change.

Yohe mentioned that Cole is +12 since being reinserted 11 games ago. Oleksiak is +10 in that span. I know, not the best stat, but that's a great edge for a 3rd pairing. Can't be too many if any 3rd pairings playing better.

Oleksiak has been outstanding IMO. He’s impressive to watch sometimes.

Not to mention he has one of the highest shooting percentages on the team.

Someone was ranting on Twitter that in person scouting is useless with all the data we have. Oleksiak is exhibit A against that: his underlying numbers were horrible. Thankfully, the Pens saw a talented guy they could help.

Sid needs to get the hell over himself if his linemates are being productive and helping hockey plays nothing else should matter. I don’t get why he’s so difficult on his linemates. That kind of attitude made the Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis line unbreakable way beyond its expectation date.

I agree in part. Especially when it comes to Hornie. I don't see Sheary and Simon as first line material and I can't blame him if he doesn't either.

Edit... I like some things in Simon's game. Seems to have good vision and gets rid of the puck pretty quickly.
