Eh, we knew him plenty. He was fine.

Trading Hartman would be a huge mistake. It is not as if the Hawks have a long list of sandpaper forwards with lots of talent. This list actually has just one name on it - Hartman.

Next task is to dump Franson and get a pick back for him too.

I'm ok with a 3rd rounder for a UFA, that probably wouldn't be back. This is what the Hawks need to do, stock pile picks and youngsters that are on the verge of making it, but are not quite there yet.

Picks are valuable to move up a few picks to the draft, Say the hawks have the 8th pick, and at 5 is Tkchuck sitting there. the 3rd rounder might be enough to move up a few spots to get who you want.

I thought that he showcased pretty well for the Hawks, wish he was given more opportunities to develop, but maybe the coaching staff thinks that he's already hit his ceiling.
