Trading any or all of these boys makes perfect sense to me. Just can't believe our new regime will let them walk for nothing. Certainly not Lou's way of operating.

Bozak - Move Marleau to center for the rest of the season, then find a permanent replacement in the summer.

JVR - Likely response is to move Komarov back into the top nine with Kadri and Marner, Kapanen with Marleau and Brown and Martin or Leivo gets back in on the fourth line.

I think it would be easier to move Komarov to C.

Watching the Leafs, I think any rational person would say this isn't our year. They're good -- just not good enough. And one D man isn't going to change that.

Sure, we'll make the playoffs, but no chance we beat the Bruins or Lightning in a 7-game series. That means keeping our pending UFAs past the deadline would represent us knowingly tossing away valued assets. I don't think that makes very much sense. And I hope Lamorello thinks so too.

I'd trade them all. Maybe keep Komarov since the return wouldn't even be that high. But if you really think JVR and Bozak can command mid-range first rounders and solid prospects, I don't know why there's a discussion at all.

Leafs aren't winning jack this year. Regroup, reevaluate, and stick to the plan.

Then I remember Seguin and thank the Gods Chiarelli will never be a part of the Bruins ever again.

What if they get good assets that make then a better team for the next 9 years, why would anybody let them walk for zippo?

Tough decisions. Keeping the UFA's potentially gives the other guys more playoff experience too which in my opinion is worth more than a couple of picks.
