Yeah Gio is garbage. Yeah ok. Him & Hamilton are just one of the top 5-6 pairing D in the league.

well what would you say if you could get a player who is the same age as drouin with roughly the same amount of points in his first three seasons to drouins first 4 and you could get him without trading Gio?

Annd the cost wouldnt be as much to get him.

Welcome Max Domi. Maybe Tre could work out a deal where we wouldnt have to deal Bennett and we could see a third line of Bennett-Janko-Domi(would be nice to see him 1 punch kesler at the dome).
That line becomes dangerous, Domi gets alot of his points on the PP and would help upgrade ours.

Arizona doesn't have any good D Prospects and we have many. Would one of Andersson, Fox, Kylington and add maybe a shinkaruk/Klimchuk and Florida's 4th rounder work?

Lots of hoping here but that could be the boost we need on PP and playoff push.

Plus OG gets his young forward he wants and we keep Gio.

Why do you think Domi isn't going to take a lot to get? You already mentioned that his numbers are comparable to Drouin and it took arguably the best defensive prospect in the league to get Drouin.

Arizona isn't going to give up Domi for nothing. Shinkaruk and Klimchuk are pretty much nothing. A 4th round pick is pretty much nothing. We like Andersson, Fox, and Kylington because they're Flames' prospects but they're not really that much better than what the Coyotes already have in their system.

I agree Brodie should go. I think he may fetch more than we think. Decent contract and skates well, someone would risk that.

I have to shake my head at a lot of the trade speculation here.

Your nuts if you think BT is going to trade any of his top 4 defencemen away. Brodie, Gio, Dougie and Hammer are NOT going anywhere. It would be ridiculous.

I do see Mark Stone as a trade chip for teams looking for a #4 defenceman at the trade deadline.

We are looking to add a scoring winger so we're not trading anybody in the top 6.

As for the bottom 6 Janko's probably the only untouchable one. Brouwer' contract is an albatross, so nobody's going to pick that up. In the forward group Bennett is probably the only asset that is considered tradable and his value is probably at an all time low, and he's still young yet so I highly doubt he gets traded.

We have so few top 1st and 2nd round picks for the next few years we're not going to be trading those.

That leaves only prospects, and while we may part with one of those it would be like pulling teeth.

As I see it, chances are BT would be looking to trade Stone, a prospect and a 3rd for a top 6 winger, with DEFINITE emphasis on a righty to help the power play. Maybe Bennett fits in there somewhere I don't know.

This is a lot more realistic gents.
