Rumor is his birthday cap topper is a statue of him making a bad pinch and a 2 on 1 going the other way.

That third period was unbelievable... down 5-1 and the Bruins had a 2-on-0 and at least 3 or 4 2-on-1s. I really am shocked at how bad they looked. You can't play at half speed the whole game, someone will get hurt.
Even if the plan was to let AV go at the end of the year, at this point I don't think Gorton can wait much longer to fire him. The team has obviously quit on him... Except for Nash & Hank.
Wow... really sad to see this. |

Would it be better to trade away Smith, eat half his salary for nothing more than a 7th rounder? Another team may take him on for only 2.5 million or so a year, and that cap hit may be better for us over the buyout numbers. - TPC
not really, only the 2020-21 season

I think you just hope he has a summer of retrospective thinking, and listening to what is being said about how and comes back to prove everyone wrong and plays like the guy who he was when he got that extensions.
Because THAT guy was a solid second pairing D-Man that I think everyone here and ever Ranger fan liked.
I havent given up on him yet. |

To be fair, every single defenseman has been horrible, #27 included. Maybe they really can't play the system that AV has implemented. |

With the way the team has quit right now, I don't have faith in any of them showing up next year ready to win again. |

to be honest with you, I dont know how we beat the Flyers 5-1 and the Sharks 6-5 within the last few weeks
and it's hard to see another win coming anytime soon

Can't buy out Smith!!! WAY TO MUCH LOST $$. Like others have said, the whole D have sucked this year. Lets see if he come to camp in shape and hopefully, hopefully, the moves this season and offseason stabalize the back end. I don't think any one in the locker room has their head on straight. They are all doing too much and not playing sound positional hockey. |

I think we all agree the team has quit on AV and has tuned him out.
Every player has just coasted in the last few weeks, so I don't think its fair to hone in on one guy, because EVERYONE is guilty.
Therefore let's wait and see when you cut the cancer known as AV out, what effort guys put forth under the new coach (Yes I'm certain AV is gone)

Nash's value won't get any hire than it is right now....get a 1st rounder and prospect and move on before its too late |

AV has to go.. ADA is a horrible player and should not be playing. He couldn’t stick with the Coyotes.. At this point why not bring up some other D-men to see if any of them can play. Graves has been one of the last cuts the past 2 or 3 yrs why not give him a chance? You also have Gilmour and Pionk. Can they play any worse than the other clowns we’re putting out there |

I'd keep running ADA out there, who cares at this point if he's making mistakes
these last 20+ games will give us a real good indication if he has anything special |

You know it's bad when players like Zucc and Fast skate around like they've given up. They need to make these trades/firings immediately. Hell, if anything, their play is killing some of the players trade value. Only Nash and Hank showed up last night. The team let Hank hang out to roost and you can see the guys disappointment all over his face when he got pulled. Almost depressing. |
