When hey finally trade Kane I'm going to miss the daily insanity like this

trading All Star defenseman Noah Hanifin, a roster player and a 2018 first rounder

I have doubts you speak to any NHL scouts. However, let's say I believe you. It isn't that Hanifin is available that is hard to believe, the cane's have a bunch of defensive prospects, so yes I could see them trading Hanifin for the right player or package. It's the ridiculous trade proposals you come up with that are laughable. Kane by himself isn't going to get Hanifin. Never mind them having to add a first and roster player.

Respect the process.

I just spoke with 2 western conference and 1 eastern scout between periods.

I trust what they tell me.

I agree with you that Hanifin is available. As a Canes fan who goes to a number of games I must admit that I would not be upset to see him go. He reminds me a lot of Joe "Oh No" Corvo. He can make some great plays and then throw the game with a mind numbing brain fart turnover. If the return is right I would be fine with a trade.

Probably a reason they are scouts and not gm's.

Hanifin... AND a first, AND a roster player.

The Canes would laugh at Hanifin straight up.

Kane is a douchebag and it isn't a secret. He is the LAST guy you want on a young team. You can maybe unload him to a more veteran contending team for late first and a prospect, understanding that he is a rental.

Of course you would.

... but you would definitely be getting fleeced if Kane is the return.

These scouts told you that an inconsistent winger, that has had off ice issues and locker room issues, has no playoff experience, and is currently in a draught that if previous season are any indication could last until the end of the season, is worth a young franchise defensemen, a first round that could turn into a lottery pick, and a roster player?

Like I said I have many doubts you talk anyone. But if they are telling you the above, they laughing behind your back, because the above proposal is a joke.

Delusions from fantasy island.

If Hanifin was available, you seriously think the best offer they could get would be Evander Kane? And Carolina adds a roster player and a first? How can you possibly be this disconnected from reality?

The fact this site continues to provide you with a platform to spew such nonsense blows my mind. What an embarrassment.

If you notice my post. I said if the return is right. I was not suggesting a straight up player for player trade of Kane for Hanifin. The Canes have depth at D coming through the system. They need offensive help. Young D is the best trade bait they have. On that note I would say that Faulk is not untouchable either for the right return. Slavin and Pesce are untouchable IMO.

I don't think anyone is doubting that Hanifin may be available. Like you said they have defensive depth in the organization.

However the trade proposal posted here is Kane for Hanifin, a first and a roster player. 29 other teams will beat that trade, even if they don't need help on D.
