all year long I've been feeling that he's been down and things aren't the same for him without Stepan and Girardi around, his boys, his homies
- jimbo83

In retrospect; the "C" didn't do him much good...

I don't think there is any reason to doubt Brooks sources on this, which I see plenty of people doing on twitter

I think it's happening, like I said on last blog, I hope at least some of it happens before their next actual game, dont risk injuries

Several NYR players would fit perfectly for #Isles. Hard to imagine the rivals would help the #Isles into a playoff spot, even if the price is right.

If its between McDonagh & Zuke, I have to say trade McDonagh. Can get more back, ufa in a year is going to cost mucho bucks, and I have to change my dogs name if Zuke gets traded

I am going to take a believe it when I see it approach...

Larry Brooks ( a fine man ) hasn't "had the pulse" of the Rangers for a long time, so consider me skeptical. Its funny how many here laugh and mock Eks rumors endlessly, but you are going to fully buy into Larry Brooks?

Lets wait and see.....

My take on it.

You, like most others are saying Zuke's having a 'so and so' year or "this year hasn’t gone as well as expected" as you put it...

I call BS!

Zuke does a hell of a lot other than just put up points, but since points are 'the only REAL important' thing for the NHL - here's Zuke's stats last 5 years.

Point per game:
13/14 - .77 points per game
14/15 - .63 ppg
15/16 - .75 ppg
16/17 - .74 ppg
17/18 - .76 ppg

AND he will sign yet another team friendly contract after next season!

I'd say Zuke must retire a Ranger. Anything else is both extremely bad taste as well as STOOPID!

the way he worded it though, like Jan quoted:

"there is no ambivalence within management. The Blueshirts, we’re told, view the Feb. 26 trade deadline as a unique opportunity to refresh the roster and replenish the organization"

I'd be shocked if he didn't have a real good source on that

all the things we have ridiculed and made fun of him in the past were usually for his opinion, this seems like he really has a good source

never know though, I get it

I love Zucc, as you know. Comment based on zero goals since December 19, but bolstered by 10 assists, six in last four games. Plus, he hasn't looked great at all times recently.

I mean, it's personal for Peter to discuss Zucc being traded, so personally out of respect for him I'll refrain from doing so
