I certainly can't complain with a win and how well Stalock played. However saying that Dubnyk probably would have got a shut out, I am certain he would have stopped the Duchene breakaway. Granlund was spectacular last night and Dumba was also on top of his game. Tough game Thursday night and DD will have to be at his best to shutdown Malkin, Kessel and Crosby.

Always good to win especially when you're supposed to... couple of observations though... Zucker needs to simplify his game a bit more, he's getting chances galore but trying to do too much. One too many moves, or overthinking, just get a quality shot until the offensive opportunities allow for more than that.

It felt like the Wild were in control up until the Duchene breakaway goal. After that I never thought Ottawa was out of the game until the last couple of minutes, and even then I thought they had some nice chances to do some damage.

I'm still somewhat intrigued by the new look 3rd line of Ek, Coyle, Rau... they look very energetic, speedy and always on the puck. I think if given a bit more time together they could really mesh as a unit and make some good things happen.

Gawd noooo!!!!

We already have Foligno. Maroon did the same thing playing with McDavid as Foligno did playing with Eichel. And there is neither a McD or Eich on this team. BUt I did enjoy the game during the blizzard. Up here in Duluth, we basically got nothing but a little dusting.
