The Preds can basically play .500 hockey till the end of the season and would still reach 100 points. That's a great position to be in, and there is no need to rush Forsberg back from injury. It usually takes the guys 8-10 games to hit their stride after a lengthy injury (although Ellis was a little quick to get up to speed).

The all-star break comes at a good time, but the Preds are about to hit a beastly stretch in February. The good news is, there are a lot of games in March against weaker opponents. They are well positioned to manage the roster, goalie starts, and injuries to be ready for the playoffs. Its amazing in just a couple of seasons they have gone from scratching to make the playoffs, to having some roster depth that will allow them to be primed for a deep run. Anything can happen, but it's hard to dislike their situation right now.

You guys are taking this one.

-Dom in net
-Palat out
-Hedman out
-Girardi still out?
-Backend of a back-to-back
-Stammer and Kuch kinda cold lately

Hope we can squeeze a point out of this one, but doubt it.

Those 2 guys almost have more points than our top 4 point leaders

Yeah, but they haven't been playing like they were. Getting shut down more effectively, and not making the kind of plays they can...well.... apparently Stammer broke free last night.

Great freakin' game though.
