I wonder if the handicap is in affect tonight to allow the Capitals to play with 6 skaters

so i was waiting to watch Nikita Popugaev play in the WHL all season, only to look him up and see very early in the season he threw a fit when he got demoted to the 4th line
and left for Russia, i know they are saying personal reasons is why he left for home but..... he has like 1 point in 10 games over there, maybe he is hurt IDK but didn't we have high hopes for this kid ? im guessing he is a bust? maybe we already brought this up earlier this year.

Heres to hoping Zacha gets a goal!

Trade Cory to Hawks and rape them for picks and prospects.

Doubt it. But the Wood - Zacha - Palmieri line looks great to me. Zacha has quickly shown a lacking desire in shooting, but wood drives the net and palms can snipe. Definately like that mix and all the energy Wood brings out in his linemates.

I have no idea. I just figure by the time Devs ready for Cup Cory will be 34ish, by then I'd like to think Blackwood or Apple will be good enough. Itr wont happen just a fun little thought.

The"2nd line" needs to become the 4th line. Zajac should get the bottom line minutes that he deserves, stadfford too. Mojo maybe 3rd line minutes

I didnt figure Appleby in any actual future plans. Seems like a career backup or AHL starter to me.

Couldn't agree more. I wouldn't mind seeing MoJo with Coleman and/or Zacha, provided Zacha starts to shoot more.

I think the problem is probably that Zajac and Johansson should probably both be playing center, but then one of Zacha or Boyle doesn't get a spot. Zacha has been playing well but the 3rd line suits him in terms of quality of competition match up. Zajac shouldn't play 2nd line center but we're "forced" to.

The problem is you can't play Zajac with Mojo. Both guys look to pass and aren't the greatest of skaters. Pair them with Stafford and you have a really slow line that doesn't put the puck on net.

I'm good with Mojo on the wing, but I'd like to see him play with a Coleman or Zacha, someone who can push the pace a bit.
