Nothing really perplexing at all. Our defence is a problem, we have made stupid mistakes and they have bitten us in the backside again and again. Younger team and still learning. We have to still move out dead weight and our defence still requires a lot of work.

It is what it is but hopefully Lou has a plan here and gets something done to upgrade the back end at the deadline.

I said it before and I'll say it again. Let's move on from Gardiner. The top 4 can't quite get the job done so how long will the Leafs sit around thinking it just needs time "to develop"?

Doesn't solve anything. The Leafs are short enough as it is on top four D, you're going to throw away a 27 year old with 450 games of experience and replace him with a guy that has 2 games of experience?

Gardiner just needs to see his minutes rolled back. Powerplay and bottom pairing against less skilled opposition. He may look good in the role. Who knows.
