Boy it sure would be nice if the Sharks went on a bit of a skid pretty soon here. Sure is going to be tough to get in. Need at least 1 of the next 2 before the break

Who runs this powerplay? Is it all Cameron? If so why hasn’t he been canned yet. Hard to make he playoffs when your powerplay is a complete disaster and showing no signs of improvement every game.

Didn’t Gully run the powerplay in Vancouver when he was there? From what I remember they were pretty decent.

Enough with the Brouwer bashing. That line has looked good since Brouwer was put on it. Judging Brouwer by the scoring chances he's generating doesn't make any sense because that's not why he's on the ice. He knows where to go on the ice and plays well away from the puck. Those are things that are really hard to quantify statistically or really notice when watching on TV.

He's also been winning a bunch of battles along the boards and has made numerous good decisions in the neutral zone to keep the rush going. It can work well when you have a grinder playing with skilled players because it opens the ice up for them. Brouwer may not be generating the chances, but Tkachuk has looked great the last few games. It's been nothing like last year where any chance of success died as soon as the puck got within 5 feet of Brouwer.

The fourth line has also looked better than it has all season with Mangiapane on it. Why go back to having 3 grinders doing nothing on the fourth line. If anything, they should be keeping the lines as they are but upping the ice time they're giving the fourth.

If we need something to complain about, I think it's about time to trade Brodie. It's almost at the point where it might be addition by subtraction since it'll open up a spot for someone like Andersson to join the team.

I agree with you Hunk
Brouwer isn't looking out of place and all the lines seem to be rolling or functioning well
He's no Frolik, but I don't think the puck is dying on his stick or that he's a complete disaster

I'd give Brodie and Hamonic more time
if you trade one, it better not be for pennies on the dollar, I think Brodie is still a solid d-man, the only reason would be to make room for all the youth that are deserving a shot
I still prefer to see Stone and Kulak get more ice time and see how that improves the play of the 2nd pairing

I do agree with the final comment about Brodie. I'd for sure be listening to offers. TJ loses way too many physical battles and makes way too many turnovers. He's a minus player...if they can change him out for someone who's better defensively, this team would be better off.

The return would have to be awesome! Brods and Hammer are just finding there grove. And as history shows you need at least 8 solid D to make a run. I do think there’s lots to be excited about in Stockton though.

I used to be huge on Brody, and he is still good, but I would trade him for the right piece(s). He can skate like the wind and sees the ice well, but he does lose battles and has a muffin for a shot. I am sure Fat Ras, or someone on the farm could at least partially replace him, especially with Kulak/Stone picking up some extra time.

How much time have Stone and Hamonic played together? Hamonic has offensive cabability which is stymied playing with Brodie. Could Brodie be packaged for prospects and/or picks and/or bottom 6 quality forward? Anderson or Wotherspoon with Kulak would be an ok 3rd pairing if Brodie brings back some added security up front + adding to the prospect pool. Calgary has depth on defense and defensive prospects capable of playing 10-14 minutes per night of sheltered ice time.

The only way i would trade brodie right now in the middle of the season is if i could package ras or kylington and get someone like stone from the sens

No way i will trade Brodie. He is not Shea Weber and we all know that, but he has good vision, skate like a wing can break out of defensive zone, and at $4.675m cap as your #2/#3 dman, it gives us room to make improvement in the next 3 years.

The only time i will consider trading Brodie is when his contract is up in 2020. I think by the time we should have at least 1 or maybe 2 d prospects mature and ready to make the jump.

I like our team right now. The last 4 games showed we can handle the big boys in the West even when we are missing Frolik.

-Our top line back to form and prove that they can score no matter who they are facing.

-2nd line just solid defensively and can chip in offense on a consistence basis

-3rd line bring so much energy with Bennett and Hathaway banging everything that move and if you watched last night game, you should see how Janitor become a much more responsive 2 way Center.

-4th line was a disaster beginning of the season but every since they call up Mangipane, everything changed. They added much needed speed and some one who can create scoring chances on that line.

I think when Frolik back, Stajan/Mangipane/Lazar/Brower rotate on the 4th lines, we should have a complete 4 scoring lines which is how you win in todays NHL.

Defense paring are solid. Gio/Dougie is still one of the best top pair in the NHL, Brodie/Hamonic might have some up and down but i would still give them sometimes to adjust to each other before we jump to conclusion. Stone/Kulak just rock solid for playing their 12-14 mins a night and Kulak looks more and more involve in the offensive play lately and i have a feeling he could become a good #3/#4 dman in another year or 2.

Smith is Smith, gives us chance to win every night.

Last 4 games have been worth watching. But we'd still be in line for a top draft pick if it weren't for Smith.

And then there's the PP. Came across this tweet (from 2016) today:
