The healthy scratch could be any number of reasons team/player related...... Not sure Trotz or other coaches just sit guys for no apparent reason. So saying it is a bad decision is kind of presumptuous, unless you have inside information that he did it for funzies?

You need a new Yotes blog, unless you've given up on covering them.

Don't worry, Tanner will write about any team and anything he wants despite him being paid to cover one specific team.

Well most of us are pretty sure that the Ek-inator stomped on Tanner and told him to stay out of the comment sections from now on. The big question is did he drop the Yotes or were they pulled pulled from him.

James, you keep harping on the "strange" move by Trotz to sit Bura? Bura isn't producing as the Caps have expected. He has 3 goals and 5 assists through 19 games playing with some very good players? The benching is merely a directive to get his ass in gear and to start contributing better offensively and defensively. I'm not a big Trotz fan myself. He seems to always be catching up in the coaching department. But this time I will agree with him for benching a top end prospect who has yet to elevate his game.

I obviously think Bura is top notch, but maybe he just needed a little readjustment (like a mental Gulutzan stick throwing). We'll see how he 'responds'...isn't that the standard organizational jargon.

Chiasson has been pretty solid; Beagle seems to have lost his Mojo

Hopefully we get trades for days, and Orpik gets canned somehow.

Maybe Pits will have him back - they seem to be short on D these days.

Beagle doesn't look like the same player this year unfortunately.

NO THANKS... WE'RE GOOD !!

Schultz is back, Letang is finally remembering 'defense 101' and Oleksiak appears to be another successful reclamation project.

So sad I missed the beatdown on one of the last blogs.
Can't even enjoy reading it as it has been pulled down.
Just wanted to ask James how he feels about Dan Girardi's excellent year.
Proof positive that almost any player in the NHL used in a different way can succeed.

I didn't think anything could be worse but I read one page of Mr. Tanner's Twitter feed. It's a lot worse than I thought.

If he took the trolling, and high and mightiness out of it, his HB blogs are entertaining and different than all the other of millions out there. But Calling out people for having an old school tunnel vision approach to hockey..... but never realizing that is exactly how he comes across in EVERY blog ( and comment section ) is kinda sad...... or the best trolling this site has ever seen
