I wouldnt hate a swap with Bigras is that could seal the deal.

Not a bad trade at all! Id do that so fast. Its amazing to think we now have the defensive depth to move some guys out. I like Bigras but with dude wheres Makar and Timmins coming up hes easily expendable.

Big Russ would be a tough one to let go bc we have been attached to his hope for a long time.

But something along the way, injuries, AHL development, whatever it may be, he has stumbled. Originally I thought he was going to be a lock as a Top 4 guy. Now he probably will just be a good 3rd pairing guy. Still valuable but not untouchable in trade.

The rumour asked for the coyotes was a pick, looking for a 2nd rounder. Not sure ifi they get it but thats the target return.

Heck if you are able to give up a 3rd or Bigras on a gamble. Who knows. But I wouldnt give up a 2nd...look at Lazar, Flames gave up a 2nd and it doesnt look like its worth it. Usually reclaim project guys are not worth the high pick

I wouldn't risk the 2nd either. Reclamation projects are great but Id stay the coarse at this point. Our drafting has been solid and in a strong draft class I would keep all the high picks we can get. I don't think were ready to be gambling picks just yet.

It's unfortunate Bigras hasn't panned out for us. By no means am I writing him off but I agree I thought he was a lock for the top 4 this season. He's still young but this blueline isn't going to easier to make going forward.

We finally have some expendable pieces, with that being said I hope we are sellers at the deadline. This playoff race is fun, but we are still so young and we need to keep the future in mind. Sakic needs to unload guys like Comeau, and Nemeth for whatever pick/prospect combo he can get

Also nice chatting with yea man!
