They're winning, it seems lots of people had them missing the playoffs before the year began...did they forget they have a good goalie? Caps aren't the only team that live off good tending. Not trying to call you out...I'm talking fans in general who think they know more then the people who live/sleep/eat hockey.

Regarding Oshie, they did pay big bucks, but this guy is awesome. Works hard and lets be honest hes a shoot out specialist and that alone will give them points throughout the season. His contract gets only better as time goes on with regards to the cap increasing, but so does his age.

Holtby, Yes hes good and even great. But I don;t believe hes as amazing as advertised. I only say that because of his Stats, hes not even top 10 in GAA and SV% is i remember correctly. Now this may be a result of the poor defensively play infront of him.

Overall, Caps are playing some great hockey, the Anaheim comback was nice to see. I think this team is a little better than we all though they were at the start of the year. sample size is enough to prove that, we all just need to accept it. People have stepped up while others have impressed (Vrana). Keep in mind, this record is pretty awesome considering the Injuries. When was the last time the Caps had a full roster suit up.

I mean, we all knew Holtby is a great goalie, I guess most people thought he would'nt be able to be this good on a team with so many holes. A lot of hockey to go, but he's proving that he can so far.

Ovechkin is still going strong too, tied for first in goals, and over a PPG.

He deserves a lot compliments for his play, but the blogs here are largely silent on his continued excellence.
