Epic game - wonderful to see a full house on a cold December nite , eh .

Most importantly , we are seeing Karlsson starting to play like he can .

Perfect offset to the previous day debacle that was Eugene Melnyk

The cold weather must have froze Bobbys hand so he could score that goal last night.

Drouin's brain must've also been frozen.

Melynk should sell the team and buy a grocery store.

Too bad Eugene stole the focus on what should have been a celebration of Sens hockey in Ottawa. The NHL has to get involved. You can’t have an owner mouth off like he does on a consistent basis.

The actual game wasn’t the best hockey ever, but they go the job done. It was an important 2 points. Hopefully, they can turn a corner here before the Christmas break. I think Ryan has been steadily improving and if Duchene can get a little luck on his side with his chances, this team should be ok, but a high hill to climb.

This site has been dead for a couple of years now. Bloggers that were active and engaging are leaving and being replaced with lesser product. There’s nothing here to attract new users and regular users drift away with a lack of material to discuss.

Blogs need to be something you don’t find anywhere else. The Sens blogs are thin and unoriginal. Just a Coles notes version of what TSN, Sportsnet, etc are already doing. You don’t need to read a Sens blog to know about what the comments are going to be. There’s nothing in the content to trigger a new/unique discussion. Yost was great at doing that as were others that have come and gone.

It’s too bad. This site can get great dialogue that is easy to follow. There are other sites you can chat with random fans, but I find most of them are difficult to follow when you want to have a good convo going.

I think this site was really lucky with Yotes. He is a TSN writer now and for obvious reasons. Now Our standards are unreasonably high! And Ef Eugenie

Ceci, No way they trade Hoffman, get him and Duchene some chemistry and he would be a 40+ goal scorer. Easily top ten best shot in the league.

could probably get a solid return for ceci. maybe some dummy like chiarelli will give you guys yamamoto and a 2nd.

hoffman will be a pure cost cutting trade. some trade that melnyk interferes with. idk, some overpayment like hoffman and a 2nd for connor sheary.

If you've watched Hoffman play for any amount of time, you'd know that is a terrible trade

Agree about hoffman.

IF he played with a crosby he would easily have 30 goals, but hitting 40 goals isn't easily. I would say he COULD score that in 1 season but more likely is consistent 30 goals

With Hoffman's shot, he could be up there in the 40's.

I actually don't know about that statement about Crosby, statistically the Pens win more with Crosby out of the line up.

Agreed.

It's the exact type of terrible trade melnyk will force to save a couple mil.

Ummmm, maybe but I feel like Hoffman isn't really that expensive to be honest.

He'll be trying o ship out Karlsson, Dion or Ryan if it's just a money thing

Nobody wants dion or ryan

Trading karlsson is a huge change in direction.

Hoffman is next most expensive (assuming they don't embarrass themselves and tade Duchenne at a huge loss)

Dion still holds value as a 2nd pairing D, yes he is over paid but what he brings in leadership as we long as he is used properly i'm fine with.
Ryan needs to step it up and stop braking his fingers.

My guess is that they might make some minor changes, they will resign Karlsson and Duchene and all the big name players. Hopefully dump Burrows and in the next season or two start looking for a new #1 Goalie and getting rid of contracts as Chabot, White, etc start making it in the NHL
