Karlsson 76 points in 214 games.
Granlund 71 points in 203 games.

Slightly different roles on their teams this season.

overall...gotcha

Yeah Granlund has been on a rollercoaster ride in terms of deployment so far. I really hope he continues to get offensive duties moving forward, the guy knows how to score when given the chance.

For Bettmanhatesus

Both Gadjovich and Lind(If signed by Decemer 31st) are eligible for Utica next season, as they will be 20 and if under contract.
Some type of wording in CBA makes this possible.

My point was, Hextall has changed his path during his time as GM, just like Benning has.
He had 3 good forwards to work with in their prime, whereas Benning had players exiting prime.
Hextall signed his guys to very lengthy and expensive contracts and has not supported with the players needed to challenge for Cup.
He also signed MacDonald to a lengthy, expensive contract.
The comparison is similar IMO, except Hextall had a heck of a lot more going for Him, without all the problems left be hung from previous regime.
I am not a fan of Henning, but am a strong believer that any GM should be given 6 years to establish a clear direction for a team.

This is not correct in my opinion, Hextall has never changed course, always trying to rebuild through the draft and plug holes with free agents, not draft picks. Always gathered more picks beyond his seven.

The only long term expensive deal he's signed is Voracek, which was a no-brainer.

Overall, ya my bad.

I wonder where Granlund would be stat wise given a top 6 scoring role and not a shutdown, PK role. I wish they could find a happy medium for him.

Problem with this team right now is they have a bunch of defensively inept players and he's got a good 200' game. You can only shelter so many players and with Gagner, Vanek, Sedin(2), Goldy all needing sheltered minutes.

Granlund would probably be floating somewhere around the 20 pts mark i'd guess - once Sutter comes back hopefully that will allow him to focus more on scoring, get more PP time, hopefully get him away from the Gaunces, Chaput, Dowd players and maybe play more with Jake OR Goldy.
But he's definitely shown how important a player he can be.

I am a bit confused and I confuse easily. When you have 3 top notch forwards in prime, should you be rebuilding or trying to make a run for it.
I would think you start building off of that..no.
Once a foundation is there you have to eventually start going for it or you are in a constant state of rebuilding.
