Does anyone actually have any idea why Bennett gets no PP love? Didn't he score a billion points in Jr. and wasn't he drafted as possibly the most gifted offensive players the Flames have ever had?

I get that Brower scored a PP goal in the playoffs three years ago, but it's obviously not that magical anymore...

This coach is an idiot! But I am so fed up with watching this PP, I have to wonder where the hell is Treliving. Does he watch these games anymore????? Surely from their luxury box they can see failure over & over & over & over. Does he actually talk to the coach? Like, "Hey Glen! I see the PP sucks balls again. Have you even considered maybe trying to put Dougie on the point of that 1st PP, seems to me this time last year the same questions were being asked about the PP & you put Dougie on & we shot up to 10th best in the league & Dougie was a point per game going forward? Huh?"

TOI is the biggest motivator for hockey players. That's what they live, train, eat, sh!t every day for. Time to put together some combos & have these guys compete for PP minutes. Each game a group gets the word they will get the 1st PP minutes. If they suck balls, they get none the next game & the next unit gets the minutes. If they are hungry & do well & heaven forbid score a power play goal, they keep getting the PP minutes until they suck balls & lose those minutes.
Im getting pretty frustrated with our team. Watched Nashville's PP last night & OMG, now that's a PP.

You can't just make stuff up to fit your narrative. Hamilton and Giordano were always on the second PP unit. The Flames PP took off last year because of the Brodie-Versteeg-Brouer-Gaudreau-Monahan unit figuring things out and teams not really knowing how to respond.

Who knew Versteeg was that important to the success of the PP.

It would be a heck of a lot easier to remove just Cameron than all the cowching staff at this stage. When the team that is whort handed by 2 men gets more scoring chances than the PP then you know you have problems.

I know you read at around a 3rd-grade reading level, but it wasn't really that hard to understand. "Who knew" at the beginning of the sentence implies that it's a shock to everyone, especially myself, that removing a seemingly useless player from the roster would make the PP implode. It was also clearly tongue in cheek (do I need to explain this to you as well).

No, I don't think that Versteeg was the key to the PP, but there's no denying that it was hovering around top 10 when he was on it and has fallen off a cliff (not a literal cliff) since.

Versteeg makes room by moving the puck around. Wouldn't be too concerned with the low production. He's just usually at the start of the passing play Cameron drew up.

On that note, it's our players that just seem to be boom or bust. That's on them. I think Gio needs to stop being so diplomatic at these times tho. Ride those (frank)ing asses I say! Whip em' into shape. Fro and Backs have done poop for us on offence for a second line. Time to put them on the third line and give Janko the second line for now. Let's see what he can do. I have faith.

Gio definitely deserves a lot more blame than he gets. There's only so much a coach can do to motivate the players. The captain plays a much bigger role since he's actually out there with them.

There's plenty of blame to go around. Players, coaches, management. Fact is, 10 regulation wins in the first 32 games is not good enough. Maybe it's not fair but we're getting to the point where maybe this playing style, puck possession or whatever, isn't going to work. I think GG is going to take the fall if things don't turn around by the new year.

Brouwer most definitely is a bust. I'm not a fan of GG but it's not really fair to blame him for playing the guy with an $18 million contract. BT should be owning much of the dysfunction this team is going through.
