Cole is making 2.1M and Sabres would retain 50% of Kane's salary to increase return. It would be close, but it could happen. I don't want Cole tbh he isn't bad just older than I'd prefer, but I don't think anyways that it is mathematically impossible. |

Well, the rumors would have needed to be legit in the first place.
But, why would Montreal want Kane as a UFA? Do they really think that acquiring him will be what they need to get back into the playoff hunt? And, if so, what would they give up for him? He's not going to come cheap. |
