I would'nt be surprised to see the Hawks jump in on the bidding for a trade for Evander Kane. Now that Nashville has surfaced as 1 of the 2 possible front runners, you would have to think the Hawks at lease make an offer. Kane moving to an already physical and dangerous Predators team makes them an even bigger favorite coming out of the west.
Not sure what the Hawks could offer, but here's my idea.
E. Kane to Chicago 40% retained
Panik, Kempney, & 2nd round '18 to Buffalo

I don't believe hawks have a 2nd in 2018 that was part of jackass bowman trade of daunlt to montreal for garbage. Justin I see that Kempney is being showcase but could Ottawa really take from this game since Kempney been out for what a month. Besides Ottawa and other teams hawks are discussions with, I know gm's talk all the time but any serious dialogue going on. One other thing how are hawks prospects doing? Thanks keep the good work up!

It is Nate Thompson. Type of versatile vet Hawks and Q love. Energetic defensive forward, solid on the PK, would add another reliable faceoff option Hawks really need.

I do like his physicality and FO prowess but just think the Hawks can do better.

Correct, the Hawks have no 2nd or 4th round picks in 2018, but they have picks in the 1st, 3rd, 5th (x2), 6th and 7th.

I think he playing center now but that might have changed with zach smith coming back but i m sure he has played center this year.

Whatever they do it better be bigger than Dzingel...even though he's ok Nashville is loaded and Hawks need an impact player if they want any chance of competing far....a la E. Kane, Pac,Hoffman, Simonds etc.

He hasn’t really played center, he’s only take 52 draws in his NHL career. I’d much rather get Pagaeu, but it take more than Kempny and a Hog. Probably Kempny and another roster player.

The loss of Rutta to a probable concussion is a big one. He has been playing 20+minutes a night with Forsling. Rutta > Osterle/Kempny, so it should be interesting to see how Q allocates ice time and pairings.
