Dermott isn't the 1. He may play a role down the track but at the moment in win now, he's not helping carry his partner let alone the Leafs Dmen to the Stanley Cup.

'A highish end top 2/3' is what I said. In reference to Dermott not being 'the' 1, that means he's not the right player.

I agree with you. You just need 1 or 2 solid guys that are running the same timeline as Matthews & Co. the Gull had some nice pieces that you could realistically get. Ekblad out of Florida is another though not sure about his health.

Once teams have played their games in hand, the Leafs will have about the 10th best GA (give or take a couple) in the NHL, which is interesting for all the poop they get.

Nobody cares about defense, they only care about points. Player can suck defensively as long as he scores, he is a great player.

Just look at OV, perfect example.

It's the Kessel syndrome again. You make someone your highest paid player and they have no interest in anything other than scoring goals.

Please keep Matthews out until he's healed. He obviously hasn't been right for a month now. We're going to need him at 100% later down the line.

Has been ok so far. but its only his first year in NA.

Goaltending saves the weekend.
