Myers was a tire fire with the puck last night.
Buff was back to being Bad Buff again.
Brutal cough up by Wheeler.

Every great team has bad games!
I am more interested in the response the Jets provide against the Panthers tomorrow.
Also on a side note: I have been saying for years on this site that Brayden Schenn was a player we should target and have been laughed at as a result of it. The guys has 33 points in 28 games with St. Louis. Saying that, I do believe that Petan has similar potential. |

I think people probably laughed at your trade offers, all of which I'm guessing were significantly less than two first rounds picks like they got. I also wanted B. Schenn here. I also recall being laughed at when I suggested many many years ago, immediately following the contract we gave Bogo that we offer him to Edmonton for hall and I got laughed at, probably by you!! So there lol |

We won't win every game and last night we were't ready ... flat ... Myers flipping the puck over the glass TWICE is the most obvious symptom of not being on our game
.
I, too, want to see how Jets respond ... that's the key - do we cave and go on a 4 game losing streak (like years previous) or do we adjust and regain the winning pace ?
.
As with every team in every sport - if our opponents identify and defend our style of play (game plan) successfully - then we're sunk ... we are now in sustain mode - can we sustain the pace ? ... notice how crowded it is 'up top'
.
If we drop to Florida tomorrow then I'm worried - 'cause Saturday is Tampa ! |

If they extend Myers, I’ll probably die. Not kill myself, but simply cease to live |

Petan? No comparison to Schenn. Petan does not have a physical aspect to his game, Schenn can drop the gloves, throw checks etc
Wpg fans need to move on from Petan.
As for last night, no big deal move on. |

I said the exact same thing about Postma, thankfully I'm still here. |

I don't understand how you will kill yourself over our #5 defenseman? I love Myers. he's one of my favorite Jets! |

Because you are talking about a guy who thinks Dano is Brian Propp |

He’s inching his was out of being an NHL player at this point. The guy isn’t doing anything good anywhere on the ice. |

The physicality is a bonus, not a necessity. Why would we move on from a player that’s clearly on the roster by the end of the year? |

I think Dano is a 50 point player with strong defensive play, and the agitating qualities the old boys love. He’s literally the player people hope Lemieux will be, only smarter. |

Tyler Myers who's got 5 goals and 9 assists in 28 games with a +6 rating. He's got 2 game winning goals, 8 points on the power play and 1 shorthanded goal. He's tied with Byfuglien for most points as our defense man despite playing a fraction of what Buff plays on the power play. Byfuglien by the way only has 1 more power play point than Myers.
Despite all what I have stated, you believe Myers is on his way out of the NHL at 27 years old?
Rexy, you just lost all credibility on this board! |

Yes. Because he’s basically a corpse version of himself and needs one injury to retire, has been trending down for 3 years, and he’s inconsistent as all hell. That, and he’s actually the worst defensive player in the organization. |

Wrong-way Rexy lost all his credibility on this board a long time ago.
As for the Detroit game. Its just one bad game. Teams have them once in a while. Jets are in the middle of the most grueling part of their schedule. It can take its toll. Anyone coming out and bashing the players after one bad game should think twice. Myers had a bad game but until the Detroit game he has been very good over the last 10 games. Lot of Jets had a bad game. Buff, Wheeler, Hendricks, etc. Very few Jets were much of anything. Kulikov was very good though. Nuff said. |

I mean, it’s not. He’s performed at this level many, many times. 19 points in his last 25 games in columbus, and 8 in 21 with 4th line minutes when he got here. |

What about the eye test?
Hero charts are made up by participation award guys who listen to garbage like Phish. - Byfuglien Ate Me
The eye test is 100% subjective. It’s based on what you’re looking for. People tend to see what they want to see, and ignore or discredit everything else. That’s assuming of course that the person in question even knows what they’re looking at.
The numbers never lie, and they can’t be swayed by opinion or bias. |
