as much as i love simmonds and all he has done for philly...if thats the return absolutely make that trade. aa we've seen a thousand times, signing power forwards through their 30s almost never works out

this is moronic. how many "true power forwards" did the pens and hawks have on their stanley cup winning teams? simmonds is a great player surely but so was lucic...and now look at that contract and how much it hampers edmonton

I would not be surprised that Hextall might be keeping his options more open than not on a Simmonds. I would be more surprised if Hextall labelled players as untouchable.
