A good game against a very strong Tampa team. Hawks did well to get a point, although both teams played pretty well.

I definitely see Tampa as the team to beat in the East. Very strong, especially when they get the solid goaltending they got last night.

You guys should have a fun year ahead of you!

Absolute Bullpoop that they played the Chicago feed in Tampa, cannot believe NBCSN did that. Glad I didn't have to watch that.

I was at the game, decided to not cash in on the Blackhawks fans who pay 5-6 times the cost of my season tickets and instead watch the Bolts beat them. Hawks fans travel better then any team in the league to our arena. There was 30-35% Hawks fans but 2 fans in my section were being absolute bumholes, they actually got kicked out in the second period. It's cool to go to the opposing teams arena but have some respect, I know they do not represent the entire Hawk fan base but I had to vent.

Once the Lightning got going in the 2nd they were the better team the rest of the night but both played hard and had chances. It was a goalie duel and both stood tall.

The Lightning are going to have to get use to the other teams best going forward.

Happy for the Bolt's win, they need to understand that the rest of the league is gunning for them. The slow starts at home these last couple of games has to change.
As happy as I am for the win, I felt sorry for the Hawks in OT, that slashing call was such a horse crap call. The "new" slashing calls are 90% a joke, keep those bogus calls out of OT. OT power plays are damn near a lock for a win. Hell, a penalty in OT used to be almost non existent, you had to decapitate someone. Now it's common, too much of the refs determining outcomes, in my opinion.

Agreed about that "slash" call in OT. Must have been the invisible man who did it, because I watched the replay and didn't see anything remotely worth a penalty, less yet a penalty being called in OT. I'd be pretty irate about it if I was a Hawks fan.

Vasi stole those two points. Just like Bishop before him, when Vasi is dialed-in like he was last night, you are not going to see a third goal get by him. Once Palat got on the board and the comeback had started, Vasi was a brick wall.

The thing is that Vasy has been lightsout 90% of his starts this year. It bodes very well...

Always great to beat the Hawks. Its a joy to see this team perform higher then our expectations. The team has been solid for 2 years, but hasnt had the wind in its back like they have now. Its amazing to see and hopefully we keep it up in april/may/june

I read somewhere that the tampa TV crew was having technical issues so NBCSN went with the Chicago crew.

Good 2 points for the Bolts. The Hawks played well. Tampa is actually 10-0-2 against Chicago in last 12.

Two troubling things for the Bolts in this one: 1) another slow start - this has occurrred several times so far and needs to go away, and, 2) the PP - Chicago completely shut down the league leading power play unit. Even the Chicago tv guys were saying the Bolts just kept trying the same thing over & over even though is wasn't working. Not a big surprise since Chicago is probably the best coached team in the league but obviously other teams are going to see that and employee the same PK strategy. Bolts to change things up a bit.
