Not to mention Koivu has missed on most of many high % chances so far this season. I started liking the game Kunin was bringing, but since being paired with Winnik , he's not done a whole lot. I'd much rather see him with Staal and Nino. But with that said, I firmly believe he needs to be down in Iowa where he can develop his game around other younger skilled players. Keeping him on low minutes in the bigs is not the answer for him IMO.

Eriksson Ek is proving to be a huge disappointment so far... he looks nothing like the player he was in his first dozen games with the big club last season. 0 goals in 17 games is not good no matter how many minutes he's getting a night, and it's not like he hasn't had his chances.

I believe he will be the first to be sent back to Iowa as soon as Coyle comes back and maybe even sooner should he continue to be unproductive.

Foligno and Ennis have also been big disappointments IMO... and it's not that either of them lack effort. I see both of them (especially Ennis) skating hard and grinding every night, I think they both just lack the skill sets to make an impact on the score sheet. Ennis has had umpteen prime high percentage chances and has missed on all but one I believe. He seems to try hard but looks to lack the necessary tools in order to persevere in the NHL.

Tough match up again tonight, Wild need to play a full 60 minutes in this one, can't afford to get down by multiple goals especially against the tougher competition. The come back against Smushville was a valiant effort by the whole team, but those kinds of come backs are few and far between.

If they can keep Ovie off the board, I like there chances.

Didn't think Stalock looked all that great last night. Not sure goal tending was necessarily the difference in the game, but wild overall did not look sharp.

As a fan of the UMD Bulldogs, I can honestly say that is what you are going to get from Stalock every game. He gambles ALOT outside of the net, but generally gets back to make saves. He is the type of goaltender that gives coaches gray hair. But he generally is effective.

As for Ennis and Foligno, IMO, have not really been able to get set with linemates as they are being bounced around the roster to cover for injuries. Having so many injuries to start the season has kept the lineup in constant change. I think once Coyle is back, people will be moved to where they should be.
