Ryan O'Reilly keeps on commenting after games that he is doing nothing. If you read between the lines, is he silently looking to be moved elsewhere? His play certainly looks like that most of the time.

I don't think so, I think that's just the way he is...he hasn't played well at times, but wants to be a (the?) leader on this team and part of it is owning up to poor play

House's canned answers are starting to get really annoying. Not that I want to see him gone, but dude just be honest...it might actually help.

It's also getting harder and harder to convince myself that I should waste a few hours watching a Sabres game.

i dont think he is at all. everyone compares the two teams using the high end guys...its middle guys nobody talks about, that's their edge. (except for nylander/reinhart)

Andersen>lehner
Gardiner>pretty much everyone defensively
Brown>our non top 60 picks

- Sabresfan-365

Well yeah, they unfortunately have a better team around their better superstar. I'm not even sure how anyone can argue Eichel > Matthews. It's just total homerism

id rather have a competent team and not constantly blame coaching for its short comings to feel better about the state of it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Outside of Eichel, and maybe Risto, we don't have highly skilled players. Sure some have some skill, none are highly skilled. ROR is a below average skater, Kane is an awful passer, Reinhart can't skate or shoot well. Okposo is more of an average talent.

We have grinders and role players, and not even enough of those.

we're 17 games into the Housley era...i'm in wait and see mode right now...that said, i'm not gonna argue that this team could use more talent up-front...it could, and could also use risto back in the lineup

it's painful because looking into it...they've begun to turtle and resort to bus parking again. very boring hockey likely a result of the blowouts earlier in the year

Not by much, if at all.

They don't have Eichel, but they have plenty of guys who have been good enought to score goals in this league

lack of talent is a part of it...

at this point, how much it contributes to the sabres woes is the bone of contention

call me a Housley homer, but I think they've been playing much better lately...but I do agree, they haven't been playing an exciting brand of hockey

not at all, i happen to like housley as well but i think he felt some of the heat when they opened things up and got burned a couple times. its much more responsible hockey for the most part but as has been said before you're not gunna win too many games with 1 goal.

I think their talent is more evenly dispersed between all four lines and all three defense-pairings...to me, the sabres are very top-heavy...and that's not to take anything away from neal or even perron...

plus I think that gallant has them playing a simpler game that's working out pretty well right now...
