i'm always amused the "parent makes the save"...because you don't ever see him touch the dump in...maybe the video doesn't quite catch up and he DID touch it. i dunno...that whole end sequence is so weird.

alright, enough of this shutout poop. can we put some pucks in the (frank)ing net and stop wasting excellent performances from our own goalies.

Wow, where did the time go...
Scary, I feel like it was just yesterday that as a 10 year old in Los Angeles,
my Flyer love started!
Afraid to do the math how many years...UGH

They learned how to hide them better after the Pronger situation.

Love the story on the "final puck". This is like the story on Jim Craig's 1980 American Flag. If you believe it, it's not a lie.

i wonder if someone ever asked Gene about that.

The body language of Bernie, the dman behind the net waiting for the linesman to blow the whistle, the mixed reactions of some of the players from non-chalant to jumping up and down with some fans mixed in....the whole thing is so strange.

Parent has actually said that he never even saw it. He said that, had it been on net, it would have gone in because he wasn't paying attention.

Edit: Just watched a replay of the Flyers feed. He definitely sees it and reacts (possibly late) to it. But I know I've heard him say that he never saw it before.

Wouldn't mind seeing Raffl/Weal/Koneckny and Lehtera/Filppula/Simmonds as a shake up in the top 9. Raffl feels like a waste on the 4th unit. That way we come with speed and then with size.

This gives each line someone who is hard to get off the puck behind the dots. Raffl and Lehtera. Also feel like the speed on the Flip/Simmonds/JL is more evenly matched . Seems like the current Simmonds line is disjointed....puck possession seems to be a challenge.

Hate messing up the 4th but I think Weise could slot in without as huge a drop off as to the upside Raffl brings moving up.

Getting Raffl off the 4th line seems like a no brainer to me. He has much more to offer than DW. Getting Raffl off the schneid wouldn't hurt! And while the fourth line has been effective in doing 4th line poop, it's not as if they are lighting the lamp.
