The Caps have shocked me quite a bit, I thought losing all that depth would have been terrible but wow the top players have stepped it up.
Chiasson is a good pick up for you as well.
Ovi has rounded out his game extremely well, I still think he could be a 65-70 goal scorer, this year. He's getting the chances. |

Shattenkirk and Alzner a combined -12. Alzner contract is as bad as Orpik.

Maverick. I think there is gonna be growing pains but when you are deep at center, have 2 pure snipers in the top 6. One of the best goalies in the league, Carlson and Trotz as a coach then things aren't as doom and gloom as Tanner makes it out to be. If we can find a way to add a dman this team is gonna be fun to watch. After seeing what def Pitt had 2 years running I'm convinced that if you play to your strengths we will be good. Vrana and Burakowsky getting more ice. Young dmen getting lots of key minutes to learn and develop. This team is gonna be in gms even on rough nights bc we have 2 of the best centers in hockey. |
