You gotta love Shaw - goes paws up when challenged by Juice but when refs have Juice locked up then he becomes mister tough guy ... what a punk-
Also how can Gibby get run all night and barely a call from the refs,

and while of the PP Habs board Juice so bad right in front of the Ref and he just can't be bothered

What a game! It was good to see the Ducks get rewarded for their hard work. The transitions and dump-ins as a team really helped them establish an offensive game. In the past when this group had gotten frustrated; they’ve tried to force things, which made for a long night. What they did right yesterday was transition as a team, forecheck as a team, and then the pressure was too much for the Canadiens.

Of course, they almost let this win get away from them, and everyone knows it was John Gibson who kept Anaheim in the game. The second period was horrendous. Fortunately, Gibby bailed his team out and set a new Anaheim Ducks franchise record in the process. His 28 save performance in the second period was sensational!

On a sad note, Fowler was taken off the ice in the first period. I watched the play he got injured on, and am keeping my fingers crossed that it is just a bad sprain.

Lastly, it was good to see Bieksa give Shaw a mean whomping. I was watching them during that whole defensive sequence, and when the camera panned away you just kind of wondered what was happening. Sure enough, Shaw way over extended his role as an agitator and payed the price. You see some of these cravens think they can get away with whatever they want, but they’re protected as long as they keep their gloves on. It was good to see Bieksa say, “Not today!” And then proceed to give Shaw the mean pummeling he deserved. Shaw’s a total idiot for thinking it’s OK to act like that given the score, and I hope he remembers the flurry of mean knuckle sandwiches by #3! What was even funnier was then Shaw’s there, face down on the ice, and then he all of a sudden got “courage,” and is all like, “You wanna fight, I’ll fight!” But it was just more of the same. Shaw’s a craven through and through, and is only on top of his game when he’s laying face down on the ice. As a Ducks fan, this one was a memorable one, and a great game overall!

I can tell your team's measly streak has you wanting to believe they're for real. They're not.

Ducks played a great game, and it sounds like someone is in need of sunshine!

He's right though. I mean, we beat the hell out of them with a second line, a cobbled third line, and two lines that should be in San Diego, in addition to not having our top three defensemen. The Habs are a disgrace.

Bit off more than you could chew. Good thing I don't have to tell you that the only thing the Kings will be elite at, is being mediocre.

How about spreading the word to the rest of LA LA Land? Ehh

Well, the Kings are the only undefeated team (regulation) in the league, they're missing their #2C, have injuries to their D, and they just beat a very good Columbus team on the road. I don't think they're "mediocre" by any stretch of the imagination. They're not going to go undefeated, and may possibly play .500 only going forward, but so far they're a different team than what we saw the last couple of years. They're actually entertaining to watch (and that's from a diehard Duck fan). Not that preseason means anything, but if you were to include their preseason stats, they've only lost 1 game. Mediocre they are not.

I don't want to hear it quack. It's an 82 game season, and there is still a lot of hockey to be played. Moreover, I can't take someone who uses the word "entertaining" to describe a production featuring Jim Faux seriously. Have fun with all that!

Yeah, you get a lot of people that just make you shake your head in disappointment. You could call it standards, but that's not the right word for it.

Did I mention "Jim Faux" at all? I find him irritating as hell.

The Kings are flying up and down the ice, not plodding like years past. That's entertaining. Period. Am I rooting for them? Of course not. But my comment was centered around you calling an undefeated team "mediocre." That's all. I get you can't admit maybe that particular description isn't appropriate now.

No need to be disrespectful. You can hate the Kings, that's fine. As a season seat holder of the Ducks since season 1, I can assure you my love of the Ducks. But that doesn't taint my perception (right now anyway) that the Kings are a different team from the past couple of seasons.

Don’t even get me started quack. Every team in the NHL has played between 6-9 games. Statistically, that’s a small sample size. I thought it was common knowledge that everyone knew that the start of a season was just a boondoggle of a coin flip all rolled into one, but apparently not! You want a statistic, I’ll give you a statistic. The Kings are almost at the bottom of the league for strength of schedule. So of course they’re having a strong transition game against the likes of the Sabres and the Islanders, who isn’t? And mark my words, once teams understand LA’s reinvigorated system, they’ll return to their mediocre ways! So I hate to burst your bubble, but your statistic needs an asterisk!

How can they return to something you claim they are NOW. Makes zero sense.

I'm arguing with a child. Go back to your basement and play video games. I'm done.

Classic quackup, grasping at whatever straws are out there to get one over on me. Too bad you've finally met your match! Here's another statistic for you, 38-18. That was my record from rank 4 to Legend. And if I wasn't a participant in a monthly book club I would go play video games, but I have a lot of reading to do! Just stop wasting my time.

Thanks Dozer. You and I have had our disagreements, but you're a knowledgeable hockey fan, and I enjoy our discussions. We don't have to agree. We're Duck fans, and really that's all that matters. I'm not a Kings fan at all, but only an idiot (hello basement dwelling, video playing, book of the month person) would call the Kings mediocre at this point in the season.

Maturity isn’t something you pride yourself on is it? Quack made an observation about the Kings that bares truth! They may lose the next game however they’re looking pretty good through 7 games. Try not to get your panties in a wad!
Hope things are well Quack!
