Mathews is better than McDavid. Sure, McDavid is faster than everyone and can play at that speed but unless he's on a breakaway, he's not that dangerous. Mathews not only makes incredible plays, but he makes his line mates better. |

I feel like the new faceoff rules help a guy like Matthews on the dot. Less of the old school "cheat" tactics means quick hands prevail. |
